Hacienda Market and Grill — Local services in Carson City

UPDATE: after calming down I returned to speak with Management and give them a business card with ADA Service Dog Laws. The two gentlemen I spoke with were very nice and assured me they would not only educate the rude employee (they offered to fire her but I felt education was what was most needed) AND to educate ALL employees on Service dog Laws not only for protection of disabled people like me but for the good of the Business as they DO DEAl with FAKE SDs on occasion AND have to abide by HEALTH CODE LAWS. THANKS to the MANAGEMENT I can feel confident in shopping there again!!! I’m leaving my original post as I feel that it a good cautionary tale for other businesses in CC on how NOT to treat disabled customers without educating your employees on SD Laws. (Will NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!! I was told I couldn’t be in store because my SERVICE DOG didn’t have a VEST on which are NOT Required BY LAW both NEVADA AND FEDERAL! I tried to educate the woman employee on ADA laws and was told I was WRONG and had a rude attitude! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!! I’ve been shopping there for over two years WITH my Service Dog and NEVER had a problem before.. my SD was wearing a leash wrap identification that I tried to show her several times but she chose to ignore it till I was already ANGRY with HER RUDENESS. She then told me to “just get it our purchases and leave” which we left Without purchasing anything as I didn’t even get a chance to even shop before she confronted us for NO REASON. FYI My SD was doing his job and nothing else. She saw us enter store and IMMEDIATELY came over with a CONFRONTATIONAL ATTITUDE towards me.. WHICH set off my DISABILITY. LEARN SERVICE DOG LAWS BEFORE YOU GET YOUR COMPANY SUED!!! I’m SICK of UNNECESSARY confrontations by UNEDUCATED employees! AND FAKE...

This place is not a place I go full grocery shopping as the prices in that aspect are way too high for us, and they tend to not have much selection. BUT, I do keep my eye on the sales, their marinated meat is fantastic! Got some chicken & pork and made some great tacos with it, along with their sour cream, guacamole & guacamole salsa, oh my gosh their stuff is the best!!! Also, their little restaurant has great food, great prices. I got the chicken nachos & my Husband got fajitas and they were super good. Best spot to find an awesome selection of candy for low prices. Love this store. Usually has everything I'm looking for. 90% of the staff is wonderful. There's some chick at the hot deli area that's rude. We bought carnitas and grabbed a little to go salsa container, the one you get when you buy tacos. She said you guys have to pay for that, super loudly across the restuarant area. (Is was like 15 cents) The problem wasn't that we had to pay for it, it was that she was rude telling us. The other people who have helped us have been okay with it.
