We have been getting to go orders from here for at least seven years. Two members of my family are anaphylactic to shellfish, specifically shrimp. We placed our order tonight for a combination chow mein, no shrimp, combination fried rice, no shrimp. Drove a half an hour back out to Dayton Nevada, it’s a very good thing I decided to try the chow mein before my family ate it or I would have two dead family members family. We called immediately and were told by a young female that no owner or manager was in and that they would call back tomorrow when they got in at 11. Upon hanging up my husband decided to have the rice along with some other items we ordered, only to scoop out a huge tramp from the rice as well. Thank God my daughter had steamed rice or she would have been dead because we did not even see it until she was done eating her rice! Another plate ruin for my family. We called back again and this time got a grumpy Asian man on the phone. He hung up on us once before we even told him why we were calling. We called back, he said the ticket says no shrimp yet they clearly put shrimp in both dishes. He told us he want us to drive all the way back to Carson City to get new chow mein and fried rice, round-trip that’s 45 minutes. We told him we wanted the owner to call us back tonight, additionally we wanted a full refund on our meal as it is now completely ruined. He hung up on us, again! It is very evident that this restaurant cannot handle basic food preparation practices and prevent cross-contamination nor can they read their own scribbling to know that no shrimp should have been placed on our dishes. I think the health department will be contacted tomorrow as well as an attorney, I think we deserve a little bit more than a rude person hanging up on us because they fail to protect their customers. Right now I potentially could have had two dead family members. I am...
Read moreIt's unbelievable the attitude and anger the lady that owns the place shows to the customer. The lady who owns this place i've known since when the restaurant opened in 1994, never has she been as angry and disrespectful as of lately. We started off and I asked her about a menu item to which she rudely responded "that I can't order that or do that, its only alacarte". At first I didn't think much of the answer but later when she picked up our menus after we ordered, she got them in such a rage and slammed them onto the counter. When she served our food she threw the plates onto the table, I will add that a plate of chow mein almost hit my 6 year old sister. At this point, it was obvious she was not having a good day but we had done nothing wrong to provoke her attitude and anger towards us. We ate very dissatisfied, and when the time came to pay, my Grandmother went to pay. She rudely told her to go sit down while she got the credit card and "had to make a personal call". I don't understand why she was so angry and had to take it out onto us if we did nothing to provoke her. This place used to be so good, but I will no longer be a returning customer due to the anger shown. The customer should always be treated with respect and be met with patience, and what the lady did was far from that. Overall, I would not recommend going here at all, there are far better restaurants thru out the area that will serve you with better attitude...
Read moreWell, this sucks. I came because my grandfather was so fond of their food and I'll admit that it is good, but my experience with the staff left a bad taste in my mouth.
I wrote up a list before leaving home. Three simple items: BBQ Pork Fried Rice, Teriyaki Chicken, Potstickers.
After a somewhat tense interaction at their drive-through, first waiting a while to be acknowledged and then spoken to presumably by the owner or manager, I showed him my list. I told him verbally what I wanted as well. He showed me a scribbled thing on his pad. I couldn't understand a thing. To be sure, I reiterated that I wanted the three things I'd written down.
I think he understood what I was saying, but he may not have been able to even read English.
I tipped them on top, expecting nothing but good things.
What i got was 3 lunch orders of Teriyaki Chicken plus some random appetizers, including shrimp tempura or whichever it's called. The tin wrapped meat treats are welcome, but I must throw away the seafood since I can't eat it. All in all, this was largely a huge waste of money.
At least it will feed me for a few days. It's disappointing how little he tried to communicate with me. Being as I'm deaf, communication can be tricky. That's a given.
But I feel he did this to 'subtly' tell me that deaf people shouldn't ever come back and make 5 or 10 mins of his time a little complicated.
Very...
