UPDATE: The food is still great here, you just really have to know what to order. Some of the basically fast food American items will not be the greatest, like the sweet and sour anything or any basically deep fried meat nugget covered in sweet sauce. One thing I tried that was NOT GOOD, was the Pad Thai .... nowhere near quality of taste of a Thai restaurant. Lesson: Don't order Thai food when you are not at a Thai restaurant! The other stuff I have pics of are good. ... and NO there is no Vietnamese food here at all! Panda Kitchen has been around for decades and has a new owner now. Sushi is available if you like, but I love the Chinese food here. They are open for indoor dining for now with distanced tables and masked staff. They have the usual lunch specials here such as generals chicken, broccoli beef and kung pow chicken. But what really is good here are some of the ala carte dishes, like the egg foo young, fried chicken wings, and all the fried noodles thay have. They even have chicken lettuce wraps, just like PF Chang's, but BETTER! I'll tell you what, I;ve had egg foo young at other Chinese places, but this version here is like no other! Instead of just some egg patty with gravy on top, Panda kitchen serves it as one huge plate with the egg patty on the bottom and topped with all kinds of meats and veggies with a delicious sauce, just look at the pics! I was very surprised with the food here as Panda Kitchen was not my usual Chinese eatery of choice, but my fave is only take out now, so here I am having a nice safe dine in experience. The food here is way better than expected.

So my wife were craving Chinese and we've tried a couple different restaurants in the Carson City/Dayton area and they were ok, but we have been looking for a Chinese restaurant we really liked. We drove around one day to all the Chinese restaurants we could find and I ran into each one retrieving menus. So yesterday we were looking at the different menus and were going to be in Carson City and decided to try the Panda Kitchen. I think we found our new favorite Chinese restaurant. My wife had the sweet and sour pork lunch meal and I had the Szechwuan chicken lunch meal. I have to say we were both pleasantly surprised at how much food we were served and how good it was. Th employees were really nice, the restaurant itself was nice, the food was really good at a good price. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Panda Kitchen to anyone..

I asked the server if I could get the lunch on the menu and I ordered the green pepper beef I was told at that time and that it would be $2 more to order off the lunch menu. I asked if I could substitute the rice for noodles and that I did not want rice. My food came and it had rice and I know I was charged for the rice and the noodles I was charged an extra $2 Plus. The bell pepper beef was extremely salty from the soy sauce and did not have any taste. I was overcharged for a dish that only should have cost me $12.99 plus tax and I was charged almost $20 I'm attaching a picture of my bill

Excellent Chinese. I'm new to the area and have been looking for a good Chinese restaurant. This is it!

I've had the General chicken and the Cashew chicken. The General had a kick to it (not burn your mouth hot, but definitely helps clear the sinuses) while the Cashew had the cashews, chicken, and chopped veggies I'd expect in a flavorful, savory light sauce. The Cashew is now my favorite and I'll be getting this again. If you get the "deluxe" option for $2 more, the item comes with fried or plain rice, chow mein, soup, and egg roll. The portions are NOT tiny; you will be full. The deluxe dinner was only $15.95 and I definitely think I got my money's worth. I really recommend this spot if you're looking for good Chinese at...
