Pros: The food tastes amazing. You can really taste the quality of ingredients that they use, as well as the knowledge and experience of the head chef. The atmosphere is 10x better than that of Thick Slice. I didn't have anything against Thick Slice, but the moment I walked in, I noticed right away how much more comfortable the atmosphere of the restaurant was. Prices are reasonable. I didn't get charged an arm and a leg for a pizza/salad and drink. For a 12" pizza, and a small salad with 2 extra sides of chicken, I spent $31 including tip. So, you'll spend a cool $10/person, and for the quality of food they serve, the prices are really decent.
Cons: The staff. I'm not saying they weren't friendly, and I know the restaurant is still new and finding its bearings, but the staff is not going to amaze you. As previous ratings stated, none of the staff wear gloves or hair nets. They do wear hats, but as was waiting, I noticed a particularly hairy and not-well-groomed person making food. No judgement to that guy in particular but if I were to have found a hair in my pizza, I would've been less than satisfied to say the least. Another gripe with the staff is when I walked up to order my food, the guy who was helping me on the register didn't know how to use it, and I had to order twice because someone else had to take over for him. If anyone in management is reading this review, please hear me: pay more attention to your staff! Doing so will make it a much more enjoyable experience!
Overall, I had 3 pros with only 1 con. I'm sure that, over time, that 1 con will iron itself out. I really hope these guys stay in business. I can honestly say that Flat Earth is of the same caliber as pizza I've had in New York City. If they can just focus their cross-hairs on staff, they could be good enough to be a legendary pizzeria - one we haven't had since Nick's. Remember Nick's?...
Read moreI lived on the east coast, my mother is from Jersey and I've spent many summers at the Jersey shore eating some of the best Italian grub on the planet. I've been to all the famous spots on New York and even had fresh made pies in Naples and Rome. I'm a pizza snob and I know good food. This place impressed and real my shocked me..I couldn't believe an East Coast foodie would find some of the best pizza I've ever had in a strip mall in Carson City.... But there it is. I'm not gonna go on and on .. Get the old country style margarita, the new York style with plain cheese or pepperoni.. Don't overload it with toppings. The crust, sauce and cheese is absolutely perfect👌. It's pricey but worth it, the atmosphere and service are not the best..I got an order of chicken wings that I thought were a bit undercooked and the woman waiting on us didn't seem interested in hearing about it. I love good food not I go out to experience the ambience and the energy.. There isn't much of either here. But if you want a good pizza and you have had the best like I have .. Check this place out. They deserve every award they've gotten.. And yeah.......
Read moreUber Eats order. I placed my order and was told that it would be delivered in 40-60 minutes. Seemed like a while, but was OK with that given we were in Incline Village. This was a large order for a special occasion. Car arrives and waits at least 30 minutes. By now, the order is 75 minutes in. I call the restaurant. They tell me they are busy. They should not be accepting orders on UberEats with deceptive delivery timeframes. I am connected to the manager. He says it won't be long. I wait 10-15 minutes. I call again. It has been almost 90 minutes now and pizza has not left restaurant for a 20-30 minute drive to Incline Village. Families are starving and I have already found a better alternative. I complain and say I would expect them to refund the order given this horrible experience. They say they will refund the order. The night was already shot, but that was a saving grace. However, it has been two weeks and the refund was never given. They should not be on UberEats delivering to outside of Carson City. And they should be managing the customer experience...
