So, I'm still waiting on a response on where I can file a formal complaint. But, about a half an hour ago I was in Marshalls located in Cary, NC and was falsely accused of shoplifting. As I am paying for my $76 worth of merchandise the "security" and manager come up behind the cashier as I am paying. Before I even get my receipt "security" says " I am going to give you a chance to come clean because you seem like a nice little family" (my husband and toddler child are with me but husband left the store with a toddler who was tired of shopping) I say "excuse me?" He says you were in the beauty department shoplifting" I say " I was shoplifting?" So, at this point there is a line behind me the cashier had already given me attitude, that I now understand what it was for. I told him to go through my purse and let me know what I was stealing and he said " I'd be more than happy to" so, after searching my bag and finding nothing which I already knew was going to happen he says "sorry about that and walks away." I get outside to where my husband is waiting for me and he goes in to see what is going on. He goes back to view the cameras and says he has been watching us since we first came in the store and I was handing him the clothes I had picked out "rolled" up and parted ways. First of all, I just wanna state that we were there shopping for me. My Husband had our child in the cart and went to occupy him. I put the clothes in the cart so I didn't have to carry them. He states I bent down and looked at a lower shelf and it looked like "I put my purse on the floor." Which did not happen. He kind of shrugged my husband off and we returned the items. My husband then calls the store to get the name of "the security" and the manager on duty. The manager wouldn't give them any names. So, he went back to the store and got their names. The "security" laughed in his face like it was some kind of joke when asked what was funny he stated that my husband was "just funny" This was honestly extremely embarrassing for me and I get that mistakes can happen but nobody even seemed remotely sorry for falsely accusing me and going through my bag in front of the entire store. I will not be going back here and look forward to speaking to someone to file a complaint and give...
Read moreI went into my local cary marshalls to just look around and pick up a few items I needed today. I don’t work until later so i came in with my hair pulled up no makeup on, oversized shirt and a pair of sweatpants, my tattoos and purple hair were showing. When I got there I grabbed a cart and put my purse in it. As soon as I walked into the makeup section a worker looked at me and immediately called for back up the the makeup section and started pointing at me. She asked me 5 times if I needed any help and I told her no that I was just looking. I then went to another section feeling super uncomfortable at that point to just continue browsing. Two other workers then come up to me and ask if I really need a cart to shop when I only had smaller items and that they would go get my a shopping basket. I replied no ma’am I’m fine, I might find a bigger item I’d like to purchase but thank you. I continued walking around and ever aisle I went down one of the 3 ladies keep following me and asking if I needed help/pointing at me and taking on their walkie talkies. I became super uncomfortable at that point and wanted to confirm I was being followed so I did a zigzag around the store and the ladies followed. At this point Put everything back up that was in my cart and got ready to leave the store because I’m not going to spend money somewhere people treat my rudely. Then when they saw me bring up the empty cart to leave, one lady looked and said figures! Ive been profiled plenty of times in my life but this was so extra and...
Read moreUnprofessional manager, Ray Cooper, screening and shouting in front of all the customers throughout the checkout line. I came to return some merchandise to the store that were bought 9 days ago, no customer was at the checkout area. We approached the cashier person at number 5 cashier register. She said I am waiting on someone and no one was there. She continued to say loudly you have to go back, and her manager at cashier register said Iam not going to help you, and you better go back. He continued, you can’t screen at my associate. I can escort you from my store. I replied to him, I am leaving your store buddy. He replied back make sure to let them know who I am and what is my name. Complete disrespect and an unprofessional store manager, no customer service, and I don’t think this individual was trained to be a store manager. Be careful and know what to expect if you have...
