There's a reason I drive nearly two hours to visit this store, and it isn't simply because I love the clothes and other items they sell. The personal service at this store is out of this WORLD.
Every time I have come into this store over the years, I have been greeted right away, and very quickly I have a friendly associate at my side who asks questions so they can help me locate what I need and/or want. Frequently I feel like I have a personal shopper with me, in fact. Or sometimes even like a bride trying on bridal gowns. The associates at this store have taken great care to help find great pieces or even full outfits, set up a dressing room for me the becomes my in-store home, with me trying on items and the associates bringing different sizes, styles, things that caught their eye that they thought I might like, and so on.
But the greatest thing is that this is how they treat EVERY customer, even at the same time that they are helping me. I heard my associate having a great time helping the people there, and I never once felt neglected. It was almost as though the associate had simply decided to fuss happily over all of us at the same time, and we had a great time in the process. No pressure to accept suggestions made, careful listening to the particulars of my situation and what style I prefer, and recommendations on care of items as well as what they have in stock, ordering things online right there from the store, you name it.
I have done online ordering from the company before, and returned an item to the physical location to exchange sizes with great ease. For staples I know and use often, I order and have it shipped to my home. The sizing, mostly on the pants/bottoms for women, is a bit all over the place, which is a big reason I like to go to the store to try things on and check out the new arrivals. Sizing is more consistent for women's tops, however.
Most important of all is the fact that in addition to the phenomenal customer care, these clothes look good, are durable, and flatter the female form just as much as the men's collection does the same for them. Over the years, my husband and I have gradually changed over the majority of our work and a good chunk of our casual wear to exclusively the DTC brand. Best customer service in-store (in every location I have been to in multiple states), online, and in the phone.
This stand-alone location does have some lousy parking, only because it is right on heavily traveled thoroughfares, but the parking is all right up close to the store, which is important for people like myself with mobility challenges. The comfortable sitting/reading/refreshment nook is a super place to chill out while waiting for others to finish their shopping - a nice hidden treasure you don't usually find except in certain bookstores and the like these days.
All in all, I have never had a bad experience, or even a mediocre one, at this location nor any others across the country. Customer for life here. I cannot speak highly enough about this store, so I will simply say I highly, highly recommend it. Ten stars if I could go so high....
Read moreI have been sleeping on Duluth Trading Company! So, yesterday was my first in person shopping experience. After seeing several of their ads about how well their jeans fit women of all sizes, especially currier ones I gave in and got a pair. I live in Fayetteville, NC, so I had it shipped to the Cary store for free pick up.
Upon walking up I was warmly greeted by the fully masked staff who kindly guided me to the super clean bathrooms--wow--I'd had tons of tea on the way up from Fayetteville--LOL.
The staff's warmness continued as I walked around. I picked up a couple of their long sleeve t-shirts and walked to the counter to pick up my order. The two staff at the counter were just so nice! One of them told me more about the jeans and how well they fit her and if I needed a new size, had questions, etc that they can help.
Well, the jeans and the long sleeve shirts fit great and at check out the staff was great again! Overall I just had an amazing experience as the staff were kind and attentive. Walking into a new store and not being super familiar with the products can be intimidating, but the staff made it easy! Definitely...
Read moreOversharing is caring when it comes to Duluth. When I get dressed for the day, I am literally a walking Duluth billboard. From my feet to my head I'm usually decked out in nothing but Duluth clothing. I even have a Duluth branded wallet. Can't make this stuff up folks. I get nervous walking into the store as I feel they might think I stole something I've got so much branded clothing on. I love the brand and I love the courtesy the workers at the store give when you have questions or concerns. I do have one complaint.... You nitwits that gamed the returns on garments system need to be flogged mercilessly. This was a great no-bull guarantee until you folks came along. Duluth stands behind their products and so do I. If you want a pair of work pants that will last you for a long time, this is the brand to go for. I've been wearing Duluth since it was a mail order business and only had 2 stores. I will always be a fan and will tout their product on the highest rock on the tallest mountain wearing nothing but my Buck-Naked underwear and thermal socks holding a gigantic Duluth...
