Truist — Local services in Cary

First off, let me start by saying this Truist bank branch at Fenton is PHENOMENAL! Sonia and her team did an amazing job taking care of several issues from another Truist bank branch. Just to provide some background - on my birthday, my bank I was with for over two decades had some fraud issues and because I live outside of their territory (Connecticut), I had no choice but to close my accounts and start over locally. My wife has been with Truist for about a year and never experienced any issues so, naturally, I decided to give Truist a shot. I first went to the bank branch located on Kildaire Farm Road in Cary by the Food Lion, and in a haste, the senior banker who opened my account gave me a hard time with trying to open an account within five minutes of the branch closing. I explained that I was notified of the fraud at my other bank less than 30 minutes before arriving and just wanted some help as soon as she was able. She never spoke throughout the entire ordeal other than to ask me if I had my initial deposit and a government ID. I told her yes and she just went about opening the account as if she couldn’t be bothered and didn’t want to be there. She gave me a paper to sign, only for me to notice an error with my name and when I asked her to fix it, she said she didn’t think it needed to reflect my new last name but she’ll “change it anyways if you want”. When it came time to process the deposit, she told me she couldn’t take a card payment and gave me no other options. It never occurred to her to ask me if I had another family member who could help, which would have been my wife. She explained nothing about the account to me, she just handed me some papers and told me hopefully overnight the account won’t close. I got home, my wife helped me make the initial deposit and then I noticed I was missing a second direct deposit form for my employer. I refused to go back to the Kildaire branch, instead deciding to go to the new location down the street the following day. I’ve had to visit the new Fenton location 3 TIMES in just 1 WEEK because of the issues and mistakes made at the other branch! Needless to say, Sonia and her team has fixed all of their mistakes and I will only be visiting the Truist at Fenton moving forward. A sincere thank you to the Fenton Truist Team! I highly recommend coming to this branch for anyone who uses Truist as their banking...

Truist at Fenton, Cary is a newly opened up branch near my house! I am happy to leave their first review here, and I just wanted to comment on how nice the new branch looks like inside! Not to mention that the whole staff is the friendliest banking team I’ve encountered in any Truist branch I went to. They took care of my banking needs and went above and beyond. They offered to upgrade my account into the new ONE account, where the deposit minimum was lowered. They also sent me holiday card thanking my visit to their branch! I am flattered by the service and friendliness! I know this branch will soon be packed and succeeding!!! Thank you Sonia and the rest of the banking team! At first, I didn't believe all the glowing reviews. But after my encounter with this branch, I have become a believer! I needed a notary, and my closer branch only had one, and he happened to be in training. So I called the Fenton branch, and as it happens, talked with Matt McLamb. As others have said, he was courteous, efficient, and eager to help. We worked through an auto title transfer in my trust, which amazingly, was acceptable to the DMV on my first try! I have been with BB&T/Truist for over 30 years, but I think I've found a new home!
