We honestly didn’t think anything would move into the old brewery space after the way things ended there but Alidade has the potential to turn that reputation around. This place is already showing it’s got what it takes to not just survive in this spot, but thrive.
The beer? Hands down some of the best I’ve had locally. It’s crisp, fresh, clean, and light — with a flavor that sets it apart. It’s not just another brewery doing the same thing; they’ve clearly put thought and care into their lineup. It’s nice to have something different. And for those who aren’t beer-first folks (like my wine-loving wife), they’ve got options beyond beer, which makes it a go-to for more than just hop heads.
I’ve always been on the fence about the location — not the most convenient from our part of DC — but I’m thinking Alidade is making it worth the trip. They’ve freshened the place up. It’s welcoming, relaxed, and just… better.
We met the owner, and I have to say, super nice guy. Professional, respectful, knows what good service looks like, and actually talks with people — the kind of social skills that build community and loyalty. The whole staff was great, really.
I still rock the old merch from the former brewery (hey, free shirt is a free shirt), but after this visit, I might finally retire it and grab some Alidade gear instead.
Hoping for the best for these guys here. We are looking forward to getting back...
Read moreAs far as craft beer goes, this brewery is an A+! From the moment you walk in, all the staff are very friendly and on top of their game, frequently checking in to ensure everyone in our party was enjoying the experience. They had a good size crowd and great energy. Plenty of seating options, including for large groups both inside and outside. Everything was very clean and organized. You can tell the owners take extraordinary pride in their operation. And what a great brewer! So knowledgeable and so fun to talk to about all the different options and what he’s working on next. I’ve been to a lot of great breweries around Colorado, but it’s not easy to actually find beer this good! My wife is not a big beer person but found two delicious options she loved! And these guys can their beers in-house so we had the opportunity to take our favorites to go. We’ve been looking forward to the opening and we just love the vibe there so we’ll be making this one of our regular spots. If you’re into craft beer and good vibes, we highly recommend you...
Read moreOpening day… was rough. Had really high hopes for a new brewery in town and a change of pace. Busy as expected for an opening day, but only one POS system for everyone to order at seemed insufficient. No waiting area for patrons to get their orders made the line even longer and it seemed like there were issues with taps or skills pouring beers. Once beers were acquired, the taste seemed odd. Almost chemical like or something. Everyone in our group agreed something was off, and unfortunately did not want any more of it. To add to it, it was 85 degrees inside the building. Seemed like they were having issues with A/C - it was 85+ outside, but made us all sweat just sitting at the table with zero open windows, so we had to wrap it up with babies overheating.
All in all, I hope the best for the brewery and look forward to giving it a second chance, but it almost seemed that they weren’t ready to be open to the public. Disappointing and really hoping for more in the future as I would love to see them succeed and provide another good...
