AMC Nails & Spa — Local services in Catonsville

I really wanted to like this place because it is so affordable and it's near my house however every time i go I am a bit disgusted with the cleanliness practice and the quality of the service. It's not terrible but its barely "good".

They use the cheese grater foot tool that was apparently banned at one point (may still be). They simply brush the dead skin off and swish it in your soaking foot water and put it back in their tool kit for the next customer. They also do not use the bowl protectors most salons are using. I didn't see them spray any bleach, disinfectant, or actually scrub the bowls thoroughly. They simply just rinse with water and go. I also watched the nail tech scoop her gloves (with my foot germs) into the scrub container vs using a scoop so the jar isn't overlapping with peoples foot cells.... i think yall should get the point by now.

My polish jobs are sloppy. Paint on my skin and clear polish doesn't fully coat my big toe.... visibly (didn't notice until i got home) it seems the nail techs sitting in the front are the highest in demand. 2 stars because it isn't horrible.... but the way foot funguses and stuff spread.... I just can't visit here again. Even covid. No one wiped down seats or anything. the towels looked used not clean. but i guess you get what you pay...

Can’t think of his name, but the guy does horrible nails. My nails were misshaped terribly and he could care less. I had to complain to another nail tech while he went and smoked a cigarette and chilled. I asked for coffin shaped nails and he did an extremely poor job. Another tech shaped my nails until they were tiny trying to fix the issue, which isn’t what I wanted. Only thing they’re good for...
