DICK'S Sporting Goods — Local services in Cedar Hill

When I entered the store one young man assisted me and he was very nice. I found my item, paid for it and then I wanted to go back to buy some shoes, went to the shoe department found the perfect shoes with no one to go get them, the 2 young men was laying down in the back on the Cushing chairs for customers to try on shoes and a young lady walked from another department to help me, she got my size to go check, I took my boot off, she started helping some other people's standing next to me, after 20 minutes standing there watching my ipad with the game on I had to ask her did they have the shoes in the back and she forgot about me that quick. I brought the shoes this was around 810pm was still there at 830pm because they made the announcement store closing in 30 minutes. This was the Cedar Hill store close to my residence about 15 minutes, I will drive to another store because this was so unexpected unprofessional in the shoe department. If someone could look at the video tape I had on Black rain coats with a black backpack I paid for my first item at 753 on 10/28/2023 and next item at 835pm. I...

When it comes to pick up orders i placed mine at 5:17pm. I got the email letting me know my order wasn’t just ready yet and it usually will take a hr to fulfill my order. I arrived at the store around 8 hoping it will be ready. Walked around a extra 30mins asked the worker if my item was instock and he replied with it’s probably not if i don’t see it around the front and applied he was in the back and didn’t see anything of that sort. So i took it upon myself to find my item which i did. I walked around the store and found another worker and politely asked if she knew who worked in the pick up department she told me to go upfront where there was two employees. A person was in front of me and once she left i kindly asked do you know who worked in the pickup department because i found my items. The guy replied with ohh they probably got to busy closed it down and proceed to look my name up in the device he had to pull my order AND TOLD ME I HAD TO PAY FOR MY ITEM AND CANCEL MY ORDER……really like how lazy can these...

Dick's is usually my go-to store for sporting goods for me and my kids. However, during a recent visit to the Cedar Hill location, I encountered an issue with their price matching policy. I tried to price match an item that was marked down at a competitor’s store—not clearance, just a regular sale price. The employee told me that price matching wouldn’t apply because the item was marked down, which contradicts Dick’s stated policy:

"Full-price, regular-price, and sale-price products from qualifying retailers (excludes clearance and/or items exceeding 80% off the qualifying retailer’s verifiable regular retail price) within 14 days of purchase."

Since they refused to honor the price match (the item was $23 at Nike and $65 at Dick’s), I decided not to buy it. That said, the staff who were opening dressing rooms and helping on the floor were very friendly and helpful, which I appreciated. I hope Dick’s will better train their staff on their own policies to avoid confusing customers...
