I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the experience my daughter and I had at your Cedar Hill, Texas location today, March 14th, at approximately 11:45 AM.
Upon entering the children’s department, we were not greeted by any staff members. Instead, we were met with stares from several workers who made no attempt to assist us. This lack of acknowledgment and assistance made us feel unwelcome and uncomfortable.
I approached a manager on duty to address the issue, but unfortunately, her response was dismissive and lacked empathy. She simply acknowledged the situation with a casual "OK" and did not offer any apology or assistance. Furthermore, when I requested help from one of the workers to retrieve a dress, I was blatantly ignored.
As someone who works in a law firm and whose husband serves in the military, I am appalled by the unprofessionalism displayed by the staff at Dillard's. This behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the values that Dillard's claims to uphold.
I have been a loyal customer of Dillard's for over a decade and have never encountered such blatant disregard for customer service. In other Dillard's locations across the United States, the atmosphere is always upbeat, and the staff are eager to assist customers. Unfortunately, this was not the case today.
I trust that Dillard's takes customer feedback seriously and will take appropriate action to address this issue. I hope to receive a response from you soon regarding how this matter will be addressed and what steps will be taken to prevent similar incidents...
Read moreI was in Dillard yesterday, July 3rd after 8pm. There was a white male and black female in the shoe department working. The black female approached me and asked if I needed help. I said yes and asked her to look for a certain shoe size for me. When she went to the back and looked for the shoe size I needed, I kept walking around looking at shoes. After a certain amount of time past, I looked up and she was assisting customer at the register. After she was finished, she came and informed me that the size I was requesting was not available. I then looked around and found two more shoes. The female associate was busy assisting other customers, so I asked the male if he is able to find the shoes in my size. He happily took the shoes to the back room to see if the size I wanted were available. The female then came to me after assisting the customers to tell me that I was her customer. I found this highly inappropriate. I understand it is commissioned base, but a customer should not have to wait around, when another sales associate is available at the time. After the male sales associate came out with the shoes, she told him that I was her customer. Although I was in a hurry, I felt I had to wait in her line to have my items rang up, instead of going to the Male associate who was available. I did not want any issue between them, since I heard her tell him that I was her customer. It was almost closing time, and it gave me less time to find the other items in a different department...

I saw online a Calvin Klein dress item number 20176533 permanently reduced from $118.00 to $70.80 I was very happy for the discount and I tried purchsing online. To my dissapoinment, the dress only had the option to ship whithin 5 bussiness days and I needed much sooner than that (no other option available). I went to the store in Fort Worth, TX and although they had the dress in display, the size I was looking for was not available at that store. (by the way, this store had no problem selling me the dress for the discounted price). After spending hour and a half on the phone, I finally got tranfered to the store that had the risgt size in stock (Cedar Hills, TX). I requested to hold it for me as it was near closing time. The next day, I drove over 40 miles to the store, where I got the huge dissapointing news that the price was back to $118.00 I quickly looked online and confirmed the price was still showing permanently discount price of $70.80. The manager did not approved the discount price, even though they confirmed the price online, and also confirmed with the Fort Worth, TX store that they wer ok with selling me the dress for the price discounted. I left without the dress....
