The Fantastic Escape — Local services in Cedar Rapids

This a really horrible escape room. If you want to spend more time reading the tv for hints since the clues are non linear and don't make sense to actually escape. We got way more than 3 hints in the 1st part of the game. If you need that many hints that should clue you in to the clues don't flow at all. You need to basically guide the people thru the escape room. Plus we got told not to look on the upper shelf in the cabinet. Guess what...there was a lit up clue there. Hmm...great help there. Also the button didn't activate to open a door. Apparently this place needs alot of repair. I've been to a few escape rooms and this is hands down the worst. We had to ask numerous times to get a hint to be put the screen. This is a low budget cheap escape room that isn't worth the money you pay. It's poorly ran by the one person that was there. That seemed to busy to actually have all the escape rooms actually ready to go. She rushed us thru the instructions. Umm...yep that's a great employee or maybe owner of the business. Then she wonders why customers might be upset with their experience. Once again just a horrible experience. I highly recommend...

I would recommend trying a different escape room establishment. We had the correct code for a safe in the room we were doing, but it wouldn't open following the instructions that were posted on it. It also mentioned that the lock could "freeze" for 5 minutes if the code was entered incorrectly. So we wasted a lot of time waiting around for it to reset. There was another puzzle that we had to put in the sequence multiple times before it worked. Overall, a disappointing experience compared to other escape...

My wife and I had an awesome experience here! We did all the rooms at escapology and wanted to mix it up, and this place was so unique! It’s in an old bank so the exterior was a bit odd, but once you get in, our room was very well decorated and spacious. The puzzles were the perfect amount of unique and challenging. It was great to have a host who was fun and helpful throughout the whole experience instead of taking our money and just saying good luck. Very well priced too, we came from out of town and it...
