The Mongolian grill here is really excellent. Definitely recommend if you like that sort of thing. You choose your meats, veggies, and noodles and then add 5-6 scoops of your choice of sauce (there are a lot of options). I’ve really enjoyed the Black Thai Peanut sauce as well as the Khan’s Favorite sauce. Typically put 3 scoops of each on my bowl. Speaking of bowls, my biggest complaint is that the bowls they give you to fill with food and sauce (which you then give to the chefs to have cooked) are a little on the small size. Even when you fill that bowl to the max, you’re only getting about a little under a what I would consider a normal portion-size. I typically end up having to go up a second time and have two plates in the end because of this. I suppose the reason behind this might be to help prevent people from wasting food, but from a consumer perspective, I would have appreciated larger bowls so that I would only have to make one trip up. This is a minor complaint though as the Mongolian grill is a buffet-style meal (and thus you can go up as many times as you want). My one other complaint is that they don’t have eggs as an option to add to your stir fry meal. I would have really enjoyed this option to add to my meal, but in the end, I don’t think it detracts too much from my feelings about the place. Note that the price for the Mongolian grill is typically $15, but you can get much better prices if you go for lunch instead (see attached screenshot from their website). All in all, a really great Mongolian grill restaurant that I...
Read moreTHE DISTRICT MANAGER OFFERED TO MAKE THIS RIGHT, HE ASKED FOR MY RECEIPT, SO HE COULD ISSUE ME A REFUND. WHEN I SENT IN MY RECEIPT HE NEVER RESPONDED. THEY STILL HAVENT MADE GOOD ON THEIR WORD. SEE BELOW: Several places online (face book and another site: see photos) say Hu Hot offers a free kids meal with purchase of 1 adult meal. Hu Hot did not honor this on a Tuesday evening. The grillmaster lost my food. Apparently, they gave my food to the wrong person so I had to get my food handed to me by a random customer who had already put sunflower seeds all over my plate. Hu Hot also did not have beef available until I asked for it. The fish was rank and my server did not give/offer soup or salad with my dinner. I asked the manager about it and he told me I should "just let them know if I want that and take it to go". What about the people who have never been here before? Are they supposed to 'know' that they have to ask for part of their meal or they won't get it? I am disappointed and...
Read moreThe food is delicious. The wait staff was wonderful. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is the fact that certain sauces are often empty, which happened again. When the stock person came out & I asked her about the Hoisin sauce, she responded very RUDELY & proceeded to nearly ram right into me, (had I not moved, she would've run into me) & she just kept going.
**Addendum: I want to add this extra part onto my review, as I was contacted by "Matt," (who is the general manager @ HuHot). He was concerned re: the incident with the rude employee incident & wanted to apologize personally. Matt was very kind & apologetic for what happened. I'm very satisfied with that. In fact, I am surprised to have someone call me re: negatives in a review. That's never happened before. I want to thank you, Matt, for contacting me about this issue, for the sincere apology & for...
