Cedars III — Local services in Cedarburg

We decided to check out a local alley for my kiddo’s 9th birthday. We had an hour to bowl since leagues were coming in later, which was fine. He had three young kids with us and an hour was plenty. The guy at the counter quoted us $27 and said we pay after. 30 minutes in, the lane broke. It was fixed in a couple minutes. 45 minutes in, the motor on the ball return died. The staff member tried to fix it. Ten minutes later, he turns to the other family and offered to put them on a different lane (but they were full and lanes were about to be taken up by the league), but told them the motor died. We stood there never given any info while the guy went back to go bartend. My husband went up to pay since we figured that’s that, even though no one wanted to talk to us. When my husband went to pay, the guy tried to charge him almost $40, which was more than quoted, and us not even finishing one game. After my husband disagreed with the price since we were there less than expected, had a broken game we couldn’t even finish, we paid half. No apology (fully understand they can’t control an electronic component, but some kind of sympathy is just being human and a good business person). Small bowling alley but good quality lanes and house balls that are in good shape. The scoring machines are up to date and accurate. The bar had a decent selection of beers and pretty good food. Also has a nice pool table (or two?), some dartboards and a shuffleboard table are available as well. Great atmosphere, attentive owner, and clean place. I came here for my mom's bowling league. It was well lit, the lanes were ready to go and the place was very clean. There was one problem with a leak in the ceiling above our lane but the owner came over, inspected it and helped fix it. Bowling was fun and there's a lot of lanes.
