From the moment my family and I walked into El Pueblito Mexican Restaurant in Centerton for a Cinco de Mayo celebration, it was clear we were in for a treat. Despite the bustling weekend crowd, the atmosphere was inviting, and the staff handled everything with remarkable efficiency and professionalism.
The star of my meal was definitely the Fajita Tacos. Packed with flavorful, sizzling meats and just the right blend of spices and fresh toppings, each bite was a delightful experience. My daughter opted for the California Burrito, and it was a hit—stuffed with a generous amount of ingredients, making it both tasty and satisfying.
What truly set our dining experience apart were the mixed drinks and margaritas. Each was expertly mixed, boasting bold flavors that complemented our meals perfectly. The margaritas, in particular, were a standout, striking the ideal balance between tequila and fresh lime, rimmed with just enough salt.
Despite having a large party, the service was quick and never skipped a beat. The waitstaff was attentive without being intrusive, ensuring our glasses were never empty and all our dining needs were met promptly. Their ability to maintain such high standards on a busy holiday was impressive.
El Pueblito's commitment to quality food and exceptional service makes it a top choice in Centerton. Whether you’re craving authentic Mexican fare or just a place to unwind with a great drink, this restaurant promises a memorable dining experience. Hats off to the entire team for making our visit especially enjoyable!

Food 2/5: As with other Tex-Mex expect to find the usuals. Is it good? Depends upon your expectations. For a quick and cheap meal that even the kids can find something (Stevens Special), its somewhere to sit down in Centerton and have a margarita. However, I've had mutliple instances where the mexican rice was undercooked, the food came out moderately warm if not cool, and just generally leaving feeling like it was just ok. The plus side the shredded chicken in the burritos and enchiladas was marinated and cooked decent. I don't know what the other reviewer was talking about. The spice was almost non existent in the salsa. Chips were cold. I'm sure with the location it will continue to find repeat costumers coming back, but doubtful that's for the food experience. It's your A-typical Tex-Mex that I've given a few opportunities and have decided there are just better options in the area.
Service: 3/5 Hit or miss with it usually being a miss. Service is typically very slow. Although our waiter was polite at our table. I witnessed quite a few things over time going. I've lived by the rule, "the front of the house is an extension of the back of the house." If your service is slacking or lazy, it's guranteed this carries over to the kitchen. Definitely check your receipt. Ive had a few times they tried to charge me for multiple drink refills. Better management and better attention to service and quality of food it might have a chance.
Overall: 3/5 Your experience may be better than mine, but my suggestion is go to El Farilto in Centerton due to...
Read moreI really don’t like to go on and leave bad reviews but sometimes it is more than deserved. This is my third time trying El Pueblito - once we ate inside and twice for takeout. I really wanted to like it because of all the reviews and how close it is to my house but after eating here, I wonder if the people who praise the food here even have any taste buds. Not only was the food bad eating in, the service was nothing to write home about. In all cases, the food was cold and I don’t mean room temp, I mean cold. This last time I ordered they said it would be ready in 10 minutes, which is concerning enough, but I got there in 5. Food was already packaged. This tells me that they just make a bunch of food and heat it up in the microwave when ordered which makes a lot of sense because why would the cheese and sauce be burnt to the to-go containers if they didn’t? This was dinner time and everything we ordered tasted like it was 2-3 day leftovers quickly microwaved just enough for cheese to melt. The taste, even if not old, was the worst Mexican food I’ve ever had. We were quickly reminded about why we said we wouldn’t eat there again. They drown everything in ridiculous amounts of cold sauces, probably to mask the old meat and veggie smells. I’ve eaten at my fair share of bad restaurants that I could chalk up to just not being my cup of tea but then there’s places like this that have to make a conscious effort to be this bad. Save your money. It’s no better eating inside and the staff all act like they don’t want to be there and don’t care if you...
