I started attending Martial Arts Advantage at the age of 8 years old, and now 13 years later I am so happy I did. There is so much to gain from the program they have there. Not only was I in the best shape of my life, but I also gained valuable leadership experience, my maturity skyrocketed, and I gained lifelong friends in fellow students and instructors alike. You'll notice that everyone here will treat you as family from the get go. They care for you and want you to succeed, which is why they give you a challenge! (Growth will never occur within the comfort zone - remember that!) The physical skills and conditioning I gained from MAA was top notch, and every time I'm back in town I'll stop by for a class or two. If you're looking for a way to increase the attention span and maturity level of your child, or want to challenge yourself athletically in the most comfortable environment possible, stop here and say hello. I have no doubt it'll be one of the best decisions...
Read moreAs a 71 year old retired Marine and one of the newest students at Martial Arts Advantage, I believe I have a unique perspective on the training of Self Defense. One immediately realizes the family oriented atmosphere and the mutual respect between the instructors and the students. Through every training exercise they are there demonstrating and offering support that each and everyone can accomplish the required task. They provide individual instruction where and when needed and reassure you that your goal is achievable with your hard work and their instruction. I see the enthusiasm of the younger students of all ages excited about being there and enjoying their training. They are an inspiration for me to continue on. I believe the founder of Taekwon-Do would be proud of Martial Arts Advantage and their instructors for carrying on his legacy with determined commitment, caring, and overall professionalism.

Read moreMy son, Thomas, was nine when he started Taekwondo lessons at Martial Arts Advantage in Centerton. Since he started, this past August, we have seen many changes in him. He is more confident when working with other students and when talking to the leaders. He doesn’t hesitate to let his leaders know if he doesn’t understand and he lets his peers know when they need help or accepts help from his peers too. Taekwondo has reinforced Thomas’ integrity. He will tell us and his leaders when he didn’t do something he was supposed to, he doesn’t hide it, he takes responsibility for his actions. He will also let us know when he has completed his lessons. His health is improving too. By being more active, he is getting more exercise and learning more/different ways of getting fit and strong. Our only regret is that we wish we would have found Martial Arts...
