As with every pharmacy in the valley that endured the troubles of COVID-19 and has been recovering, this pharmacy has had its ups and downs. People who are frustrated by the varying hours over the years and the speed of service clearly have never worked in a medical service job where you are so resource strapped you can hardly stop to take a breath, let alone provide the instantaneous service that entitled people expect.
With that said, I have been getting my medications filled here for years and I have had some amazing experiences. Most recently, my wife and I had a incredible experience of getting aid from one of the Pharmacy Technicians here, Dennis. Dennis was amazing about helping us get a medication company's coupon to work on a VERY experience medication that would have hurt us financially had the coupon not worked. Dennis and one of his colleagues took the time and attention to do multiple calls with this company, get the coupon correctly filled out, and we ended up paying out of pocket $35 dollars for medication my wife vitally needed for the remainder of her pregnancy! I am so grateful for his help and on this merit alone can recommend people give Walgreens Central Point pharmacy a shot.
Furthermore, it has a drive through that is actually quite convenient. Just know that the line can get long and a little sketchy as it only accommodates 3 or 4 cars in the main line and then other cars have to cue up in the open parking lot where other cars can zoom by really close in the tight quarters.
Altogether, I definitely will recommend this pharmacy and continue to be patient with the adapting times and rigors of keeping pharmacies staffed in this very busy and...
Read moreWish I could give less than 1 star. While on what was supposed to a vacation and visit with family back to Southern Oregon my wife fell ill and unfortunately had to have gallbladder surgery at Providence. So very much local and reputable health care facility and doctor/surgeon prescribe Oxycodone for pain relief...literally just 10 pills. Now I'm well aware of the opioid epidemic in this country and So Oregon having been from there originally. Be it doctors over prescribing and/or pharmacists all too willing to make money...it is a giant problem. However, the drug is still a very legitimate way of treating severe pain after such an ordeal. Now the pharmacist at this location suddenly has some conscious and decides that since my wife is from out of state that he just can't in "good conscious" fill this prescription because it's hard to track the drug use and possible abuse of people from out of state. Are you kidding me....3,000 miles from home to have unexpected surgery and this self righteous, save the world from opioids, a$$-hat won't fill it and tells me to go back to the doctor and have him prescribe a non-narcotic. Like this fool knows better than the doctor at Providence what is the best prescription for the circumstance. I don't normally write public reviews, I just take my business elsewhere but since I/we do not even live there to withdraw our patronage I feel like this is my only recourse. We do use Walgreens at home but they may change now also. FYI....CVS was very understanding of the situation and realizes an out of state person sometimes as legitimate drug needs that still need...
Read moreWe are looking into switching pharmacies. Things seem so out of control here, I had an infection and had to wait 2 days for antibiotics - including missing multiple hours of work due to them requiring me to wait on site or they wouldn't fill the prescription that day. The first day I waited over an hour, just to be told they were closing and didn't have time to fill it. Was told it would be filled in the morning. The next day I called to see if it was ready, she said no I had to come back and wait in the store before they would fill it. Left work early, waited in line for 90 minutes and then it was still another hour before it was ready. There were multiple customers who waited the same amount of time, and were told they would have to come back because their prescriptions weren't ready, but they couldn't provide an ETA for when the customer(s) should return. Save yourself the hassle and go...
