The prompt for this review is to "tell others what you love about this place". Got a minute? Through the pandemic I only rarely have been able to get to the shop but any and every reason to go that general way includes a diversion. I do tend to go a little nutz when I do make a stop there but I have no problem justifying a bit of a splurge. And what wondrous thing did I find there this time? Well . . . No less than they had pulled out some of their remaining stock of Rogue River Blue! Oh, my gosh! It's no longer available online and they only put a bit out from time to time. I expect this may be the last. Why such big deal about this RR Blue? Well, only that it was awarded the grand prize best cheese in the world in 2019. Look it up.. And this is all there is of that stock. There truly is nothing like it. That said, the other blues and Cheddars they make are in their own ways superlative and what an adventure getting to know them. Not to.mention a very nice selection of other artisanal cheeses and other delights. I could go on but it would just be more gushing. It's my kind of place, full stop.

If you want cheese, see it, smell it, taste it, feel it on your skin or want a grilled cheese sandwich oozing with all the cheese in the world, this is the place!! The owner was very pleasant. I took the special grilled cheese while my friend took the classic grilled cheese. Both sandwiches oozed with so much cheese!! By the end of the sandwich, I had satisfied my craving for grilled cheese!! So so good, sinfully good. There isn't much seating inside. They have 3 bar stools facing what, during the week, would be a fun cheese-making station viewing area. The whole place smells of heavenly cheese!! They have some really good stuff, which I couldn't buy because I'm flying out tomorrow :( Definitely get a taste of the cheeses they have outside. I now know for sure I hate bleu cheese. But I loved the cheddar ones they had. Must stop here when in Medford and then go taste some chocolates across the lot to complete your afternoon :) with some wine tasting amidst all the cheese and chocs :)

Update September 30, 2021 - we got a whole wheel of the Rogue River Blue yesterday, we had some today. See updated pictures.. it was worth every penny! Oh my! Their organic Blue Cheeses are out of this world! It is ridiculous how good they are! We have heard about Rouge Creamery in the news, when their Rouge River Blue won the World Championship and we wanted to get some ever since. Finally we made it to Medford yesterday and our first stop was the Creamery. We bought about 12 different Cheeses, including the World's best Blue Cheese! We had some with homemade long fermented sourdough bread, homemade blueberry jam, olives, and a little bit of Cabernet. But honestly it the best and most delicious just all by itself. Once you taste their Cheeses, you can never go back to store bought one. And luckily, they ship too!

ROGUE CREAMERY, CENTRAL POINT, OREGON: On our trip to Oregon from Central California (to see some of the many plays at the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland) we had wanted to see a few other wonderful things while we were up here in the area. We had heard of this creamery making some of the best cheeses anywhere, and since my dear husband has a great love of Swiss cheese we couldn't pass the opportunity by to test out the creamery. As we pulled in, we were unimpressed by the looks of the store front, but decided to go inside anyway. Inside we saw things were a good deal different. First, the smell invaded my nose; that wonderful smell of so many different cheeses, competing to capture my attention from behind glass cases and from storage. We began to wander around and saw samples located at many different locations along the way. I immediately began sampling the fare and found out I was falling in love with many varieties of their cheese. Eventually, we made our way down to where we could buy the Swiss, had my husband taste-test several varieties and pick one to take home. Each one of us in our party (4), selected a favorite cheese to take home, then we also opted for a few other cheeses, finding it hard to leave all those delectable tastes in the shop. We found the person helping us very knowledgeable about the varieties of cheese, and when we told her our preferences, helped to match us with a cheese that would suit us. Patience was also something exhibited, and no one looked twice at us when we wanted second or third samples. I guess they figured since we spent quite a few dollars there before we left, we were worth a few bites of samples. (LOL) Inside the store is quaint, but appears very clean and though quite a few people were needing to be helped that day we were there, everyone seemed to be working hard to take care of customers, and everyone seemed pleasant. Everyone's knowledge also was top knotch. If I am anywhere near is place, I will definitely stop here again. It is no wonder, I give this wonderful...

Good cheese, horrible ordering experience, I won’t use them again after multiple screwups. The latest one: they simply didn’t send my order, which was supposed to be there a week before Christmas. No apology or excuse, just “we’re human.” And a passive-aggressive “What do you want us to do?” Soonest they could get it there was January 7. Pathetic. Website won’t let you do multiple orders in one visit, so you have to do, say, three separate orders, info fill-in, etc. Pain in the ass. And no accountability for their mistakes, just attitude. Too bad, but there are other cheese companies with much better follow-through, customer service…and cheese!

With regard to your response: The gift was for people who were LEAVING TOWN on December 23, as I explained to your employee. THEY WILL NOT BE HOME on December 31! It had nothing to do with my own travel schedule (why would it?). And they are traveling in EUROPE, so delivering to an alternate address would be impossible (I wasn't being intransigent!) That's why I ordered it on December 16 for two-day delivery, on December 18, so they would have it to enjoy before they left town. (I explained all this on the phone.) January 7 was simply too late, I made other gift plans, and besides that I've lost faith in your ability to execute the order anyway. Embarrassing for me. Thanks for the refund, but let's get the facts about this...

Re: I am updating my original review. I was contacted via email by a very sweet and very professional representative, Marguerite, the day after I posted the original review below. She resolved the issue and expedited my order. We just received it (in time to give as a gift, as previously planned) and I am very happy with the way the issue was handled and resolved. She also said they would refund my 2day shipping cost. I will do business with them again. Impressed at how professional she was while taking care of the situation. Thank you!

Original: I placed an order on Nov 2. Was to ship on the 12th (I needed for a gift so paid for it to get to us sooner). Email said was to ship on the 12th and have gotten zero correspondence since I made the purchase. Have left voicemails and sent email. I understand you might be inundated with orders because of the award, but you can't return calls from customers whose money you had no problem taking right out when they ordered? And sent an email to me that said 'In stock and available'? Now it isn't available until who knows when...because no one will respond to me. I paid extra for 2day shipping. Why is no one responding to my email and voicemails? I can't even cancel my order because no one answers the phone at this place. This is a terrrible way to...
