I had originally left a one star review but am now editing my review to reflect a higher rating. Unfortunately the haircut and color I recieved 2 days ago was extremely disappointing and not at all like I had requested. However I still paid the full amount and left a nice tip, and didn't say anything to my stylist, I believe she kind of had an idea that I wasn't too happy in the end anyway, based on my reaction and lack of excitement. The next day though I received a call from the salon after they had seen my review and offered me an appt with Alexandre to consult and repair my cut and color the next day. I didn't think he would be able to do much with the cut, as it was cut so short and in my opinion you would have to add hair in order to fix it or wait a good 6+ months, but I did have some hope he could fix the color. He absolutely fixed the color so it now looks nice and blended and the color is bright and beautiful and not dull and Ashy like it was. Shockingly he was even able to fix my cut as well, so now it looks even in areas it wasn't before, and cut off an area that was sticking out. He really did an amazing job fixing what I thought was impossible because the hairstyle I have is shaved on one side and the back, with short hair on the other side, so there wasn't much hope for him to repair it, but he did and I walked out with excitement and a smile. I have to also give credit to his colorist, Loraine as she really did an awesome job fixing a pretty big mess and she made it look perfect. I was looking for a new haircut salon in our neighborhood. So I walked to this nice modern looking place, Alexandre de Paris, and asked for the recommendation for a good haircut specialist for very fine and curly hair. The receptionist recommended me "a perfect master" Lynn. I had an appointment set with her on Friday, March, 30.

It was the worst haircut in my life!

I came to salon on time and waited for hair wash for about 10 minutes. Hair wash itself was pretty good with massage and nice shampoo.

And after that I was invited for cutting.

Lynn seems to be a nice person but could not say that she is a good haircut professional.

My whole haircut took 15 minutes only! And that including blow dry too. It usually takes about an hour or so in other places.

At the beginning, I asked Lynn to cut not more than 2 inches of my hair, but she slashed about 3 from the get go.

Once I returned home after this rapid haircut, I found that one side of my head is almost one inch longer than another, so I had to return back to the salon for corrections.

I did not get any sense of apology from salon. They offered me nothing to compensate for it. No discounts, no refunds, no nothing...

Next morning after my shower I recognized that all of my hair in different length, and all my hair looks so sloppy!

It's almost impossible to fix them now, so I will have to wait for about months to let them grow up and find a good professional to cut them elsewhere.

I think it was the biggest mistake of my life to let this pseudo master Lynn to cut me... I recommend you to avoid this non professional place if you need the...

Helena is your rebel short-hair leader! She’s been there 40 yrs and it shows why. Alexander himself was there, and the place is stellar and super clean.

Helena’s best attributes: She explains your thoughts on your dream cut without judgment or too much personal opinion. Very proud and professional of her skills- she delivers!

My thick coarse hair isn’t ideal for short styles- after 4 other stylists and a barber, none could deliver a well-blended cut or shave without taking off too much or too little.

Helena’s kind but firm, confidence makes you feel instantly comfortable, and her work…. Man, she blends very well, cuts meticulously, and has amazing stories! This your only go to girl for short hair- nobody will show that much care more about hair, trust me. Her 40 years of experience shows! It’s like getting Alexander himself.

I got lucky a random 60-year-old customer walked in with an amazing pixie and recommended me to the salon; while I hid my 30-year old self. The shame from bad stylists that don’t understand thick hair broke me, as I hid my choppy pixie under a hat. I was jealous my “grandma” looked better in a pixie. No matter how much I spent $50 or $200 I was tired, and going broke on bad hair stylists.

Helena gave me hope and joy, see less blend (see first pic- appropriate length, styles face 😊 ) - so hard find in other “stylists”. (See second pic. cut too short, hair like a crow, and shave was too rounded)
