I want to comment on the experience that one reviewer had trying to return items as I believe I was present in the store when this event happened. To be fair to the store owner, the receipt does state "No Refunds, exchange for credit only." But to be fair to the customer, I thought the owner could have been way more professional handling that situation, but instead told the customer to "learn to read." Seriously? You're the owner... set an example. No cause to be rude to a customer, even when you're in the right. My personal experience was fine, but 2 stars based on what I witnessed as customer service. EDIT: I just noticed the response from the owner and just want to clarify two things: First, it's not what I "believe happened"... I was there and witnessed how this customer was treated. I was there for the entire exchange... I didn't miss "additional details". Second, it's on you, the owner why the situation escalated. You can either make an exception, or apologize that you are unable to. You DON'T insult a customer and tell him to "learn to read" ... those were the exact words. If you can't control your emotions, then let others handle the front desk who have better people skills. If one of my employees acted that way toward a customer, they would be fired. You're the owner... by saying what you did and then subsequently defending it, you basically lowered the bar for all your employees. Either you don't appreciate the effect this has on employees or...
Read moreFirst visited the store on January 6, 2018. Worked with Alex and selected the unit we wanted to have installed. Never received the estimate via email until an onsite inspection was scheduled for Tuesday, January 9th but had to be changed to January 12th. Eric showed up at my house with an estimate that was supposed to be emailed to me. Called the store Tuesday, January 23rd to find out the status and was told the request for the permit was just submitted the day before and could take up to 15 days to receive. Not sure why it took almost 2 weeks to submit my permit when the onsite inspection was performed on the 12th and they knew what we wanted and charged my credit card for the deposit that night. Anyways, we tried to be as patient as possible until we found out our unit was scheduled to be installed on February 23rd, 7 weeks after my initial visit. Again not sure why such a delay but we argued that we want this installed sooner as spring would be approaching and I wanted a refund if the unit wasn't installed. Finally we agreed Tuesday February 13th. I get a phone call today, February 12th that it needs to be rescheduled due to an installer being sick. I guess the third party company doesn't have enough employees if one of their own gets sick. Not the most pleasant experience. I would recommend if using this company, be sure to order June-July so it would be...
Read moreWe went into this fireplace store, looking for a blower that could be installed to our gas fireplace that would help blow the heat out rather than the heat flowing up to our mantle, making it hot when the heat was on. The salesman kept upselling us, saying we had to replace our entire fireplace and we would need to purchase a new one gas fireplace $$$$. We were roped into having to pay $100 in order for the owner, who had convinced us that it wouldn’t be necessary to replace our existing fireplace and that it wouldn’t cost much to install a blower like we wanted, but it would still be $100 for him to come to our home to look at our fireplace, even though we had already texted him the pictures of it, inside and outside, that he had requested before. He came to the house, gave us another song and dance of how it wasn’t going to cost very much. Months and months went by with excuses of how busy they were and my calling them. Finally, almost five months later, we received a response that for them to install a blower in our fireplace would be a few thousand dollars! I wish we had never walked in this place or put our trust in these people at...
