From the reviews ive read it sounds like these people know what their doing , the only bad reviews ive read is about holding the reptiles and their tempermant. Look people reptiles are not dogs these are not cuddle show affection animals these fall more in the group of study and breeding purpose if you want a pet to snuggle and be friendly go adopt a dog or cat. As for the goofy Karen that remarked there was no enrichment for snakes you are aware breeders litterally keep them in heated draws with paper towel and a water bowl. What makes a snake happy is cleqn water clean substrate safety and warmth wirh temp gradient period. Ive have bred many many species since the 90s reptiles arent thinkers they do not require affection if thats what you want again adopt a dog. I just hope these snuggles people arent buying old world chameleons because that would be a disaster reptiles for the most are for observing they are not the new family pet. I give 5 stars even though i havent been yet but ive read all the comments and almost all but the snugglers give 5 stars which makes me believe these folks know what they are doing. As for wanting to hold a tortoise i agree wirh the employee i wouldnt hand a tortoise to a women/girl who i didnt know simply because i dont know what her reaction would be ibe seen many a man and women loose their nerve and throw the animal airborne and that aint good and hardly warrants a negative review. For the law abiding citizen who is worried and wanting to report the turtles are too small you are a karen for sure. Do you k ow why that stupid law exists? Probably not so ill enlighten in the 70s sadly hatchling turtles can fit in a childs mouth so therefore government sticks their nose where it doesnt belong and passes stupid laws because god forbid people parent their children no we need more laws telling us what we can and cant do Keep up the great work guys from what ive read these negative reviews are just caddy sour grapes because the world is supposed to stop for them. I plan to check out this store and i have a little knowledge of reptiles seeing ive bred many species of old world chameleons some so rare alot of people in the hobby dont know they even exist , breeding many species of geckos (not the EUBLEPHARIDAE variety) but rarer day geckos as well as nocturnal and amazon boas emeralds and common so i know...
Read moreI pre ordered rats for my snakes. They apparently came in but I was never notified. My preordered items were then sold. I was not offered a refund. I was actually told I need to pay again if I wanted more.
I call and was asked to allow a call back, so I did. The call back I received was from a very disgruntled woman named Jennifer. I asked why I was not being refunded for the goods not received. Her, screaming at me, "Well you didn't pick them up in time so I sold them." Me, "Well I was never notified they were in." Her still screaming, "They were due last week. You didn't come in. Me, I'm sorry we were on the understanding we could pick them up anytime and we didn't know they were in." Her still continuing to scream at me, "They come in every two weeks." Me, "Okay I just want to understand how you took my money and then sold my prepurchased items, don't offer me a refund and want me to pay again." Her, screaming loud enough that a complete stranger asked me over hearing her if that was the manager, "Fine I'll give you a refund this why we don't this way, because of people like you. I am also never selling toy you again!"
And then she hung up on me.....
Shopped there for snake food, pool supplies and other reptile needs for the past 5 years. NEVER got treated like this before. It used to be small and family owned. Not sure what changed but Jennifer has made it VERY clear to me that I never want to shop there again. I will make sure that my friends and family don't shop there any...
Read moreWhat a pleasant surprise to step foot into this store !!! I was in town for business and looked up reptile shops and low and behold Everything Reptile was a 10 min drive from where I was staying... and it was worth the drive! The staff were super friendly and extremely well educated about reptiles, I had a great conversation and they were really helpful about letting me know about local laws and the differences between Canada and the US hobby ... I really enjoyed my visit and hope to make it back there one day ... if you are local and looking for something for your reptile, or for a good starter reptile and some solid advice ... stop in and say hi to the multitude of animals...
