Chagrin Hardware and Supply Company has authenticity and soul. The history of this place has helped to build and maintain homes and businesses around the greater community god many decades. The people who run the store are very knowledgeable on a huge variety or repair/construction and household knowledge, but also very courteous, kind, and sage like in the general wisdom of life. This place does not have everything one will need, but it sure does have a great selection of the solid basics of a hardware store. It also has some very unique items you will find no where else on the planet. That’s the fun and the mystery of shopping here. With many new stores in the community it’s wonderful have an anchor like Chagrin Hardware abd Supply Company in the Village.

I dropped off 7 kitchen knives and two hand axes for sharpening. The axes were ready the next day$3.50 each, the knives a Wed-to Wed turn-around time done off premises. Chagrin Hardware is a breath of fresh air, a reminder of what it means to own your store and know where everything is, what is its best use. It is a walk back into hardware store history to go through that tall entry door. I could spend hours here, a welcoming museum like feel with absolutely everything you could possibly need. It is a movie set waiting for the cameras to roll, and it is sheer joy to shop there. Don't miss it, and save your big box list for this...

What can you say about such a nostalgic store. Let's see, they have everything and then some, the two gentlemen working there are helpful and just wonderful with great laughter. I think this store carries anything and everything from items you cannot find other places to antiques. I was pleasantly suprised to find good quality lamp oil. They wrapped the glass items I purchased with care. I went back about 60 years when I would go with my dad to the hardware store for nails, wood or screws. . Thank you for the most wonderful experience and bringing back a most cherished memory for me....
