Family Dollar — Local services in Chama

I am updating my review. I should not give the store a bad review just because of one employee. Since the new owner took over last summer - the place is clean, the prices are good and the rest of the staff are friendly. It is an asset to Chama. Old review - I know it is hard to find reliable help in Chama, but a certain cashier is usually smoking a cigarette right next to the front door when I walk in. Yuck! When I went to check out I told her that I did not need a bag. She put my items in a plastic bag anyway, and I repeated that I did not need a bag. She snapped back 'I heard you the first time' with a dirty look, pulled them out of the bag, and slapped them on the counter. There is no excuse for being so nasty and rude. This store never has what I need. I do not think this manager knows what she is doing. It is very aggregating. How hard is it to take inventory and make sure the store has what ots supposed to have and IF it's not her fault and she is do I g a good job at taking inventory then WHY is the store not stocked. Is it who ever loads the truck? Is it who ever boxes the orders? Is it who ever takes the orders from the manager at the store? What's the reason? It's an "okay" family dollar, but the one in T.A. is better. My big issue is that we came in at 8:45pm and were turned away behind locked doors because they already closed the registers 15 minutes before closing! 9pm isn't late AT ALL people, be thankful you live in the middle of nowhere because none of this would fly anywhere else 😂 A small mountain town Family Dollar job is NOTHING compared to the stores they have in the city.
