If you visit Chama NM eat at Outlaw BBQ. This is a very good BBQ restaurant with a very friendly staff. They have a good variety of tasty BBQ and sides. Everything order was delicious and the portions were prefect to fill up without feeling stuffed. I order the pulled pork sandwich, when I got my plate I thought I was mistakenly given brisket due to the way it was sliced. It was sliced perfect for a sandwich and the house made BBQ sauce is tasty and compliments the meats perfectly. The sides were also great and they have a delicious cobbler for desert. This restaurant is open later than most of the other which is also great. I will definitely eat here every time I'm in Chama and will recommend it to anyone that is staying in the area. If you are visiting Chama or even just driving through stop by for a great meal you won't regret it. TIP the restaurant parkinglot entrance, from the highway, is the back of the restaurant so drive around the building to be at the...
Read moreI've always been very happy with the food at Outlaw, but this past Saturday my to go order was not up to par. It was way below. I guess next time, I'll check it before I leave. It's sad that the owner of this restaurant thinks it's okay "to bash" its customers and publicly shame. Whatever happened to the adage that "The customer is always right"? The owner uses the excuse for the poor food because they had 150 people on their wait list. I'm sorry, but that dog don't hunt. I was one of their first customers last Saturday so at that time, there was no wait list. I was also put down because I had not bothered to give them a good review when the service and food was satisfactory. I guess that's my fault, that since I didn't do that it makes it okay for them not be consistant. I really do think this place serves good Texas style BBQ, but last Saturday was disappointing. Even more disappointing though was their sarcastic attitude...
Read moreI asked if they had salad and they had a side salad that 2 staff members said I could get grilled chicken on to meet my diabetic needs. However, the waitress and cook(owner's husband) refused this request as they were too busy. It would have taken about 5 extra seconds to place the chicken, cheese, and chili's on top of the side salad from the pre-made sandwich that they had. I even offered to pay for the whole sandwich. When I talked to the cook, he asked where I was from, made a snide comment, yelled at me, walked away leaving me in utter disbelief at how rude he was to a paying customer. I literally had a side...
