I went here with my mother, future mother in law, and sister. I went on a Saturday, first thing when they opened. I was immediately told to start looking on the rack for any dresses that I wanted, and my mother had to hold back the dresses as I filed through them. Our consultant was no where to be found. Once we were struggling to carry about 8-10 dresses to our room, the consultant handed me the dresses to struggle to put on, and once I had them up on my body, she would button/zip it. I walked out on the podium for every dress, and after 10 seconds, she said "if you don't know within the first 10 seconds, it is time to get out of them, its not the dress." It wasn't enough time for me to even process what I liked and didn't like. At the last dress, I tried on this beautiful champagne dress. It had a massive ink stain on it. Knowing that this was an "off the rack" place, the consultant made no movements or noted on how it had a massive stain. I asked if she could get the dress in soft white or ivory, and she said she'd have to contact the owner. I asked her too, and she sent a text message, and said that she wasn't sure if I'd hear back because the owner was busy at the Macon location. I waited for 15 minutes standing in the dress I loved, while waiting for a "text back". The consultant came up to us, while I was still wearing the dress, told us her next appointment was there, and that she was done with us. She walked away with me standing on the podium with the dress still on.I waited for about 5 more minutes for her to help me out of it, when in response my mother finally asked her to call the owner instead. She did, and left a voicemail. She finally came back to help me out of my dress and I told her that if she could get the color I wanted and in my size, it would be my dress. We were in mid conversation when I handed her the dress... she got a text message on her apple watch, read it, and mid conversation, walked out of the dressing room, and was not to be found. I put my clothes on and went to the front desk, and found her, and told her that if she got a response from the owner to give me a call. I left the store CRYING. This was my second bridal salon experience, and it was AWFUL. She called back an hour later saying that she could get the dress for me, but I declined because the whole experience left me with a sour taste in my mouth. So sad because multiple friends have had great experiences at Carries, and when I told them my story, they were speechless. Read moreI’m the MOH in my best friend’s wedding, this was the third place we have gone to try on dresses so we aren’t new to the experience. I had my hopes up, the location is a very cute, clean little shop, the staff was very friendly, but our experience was so disappointing. We arrived on time and was told that our room was not ready. We waited past our appointment time to start. At first I thought wow, she is quick at getting her in and out of these dresses but then I started to watch and realized that the management is circling to keep the sales staff on time. The whole appointment was rushed, even though it started late. When she was first offered to gather dresses to try on she stopped her, and told her she had enough to get started which gave the bride the idea that we would get to try on more dresses. Upon finishing trying these dresses, she asked in a rude tone “you only have 10 minutes left, what do you to do”, we rushed to try to find another dress. She found the dress, I mean what was probably THE DRESS in a larger than ideal side. They knew she needed it in a smaller size but had offered it to a different bride. Who was being walked in front of my bride with a vail and everything. If the sale person wasn’t so rushed from the beginning and cutting my bride off from the beginning I believe she have found her dress. Instead they tried to sell her a huge dress and talking her into $50 discount on alterations. The alterations would have easily been over that, it was a huge slap in the face. It was just a poor way to handle the whole situation. Basically like well the other bride beat you to it. NO! We arrived on time. Your salon was running behind and your sales person cut her off when she asked for that dress in the first batch of dresses you pulled. Then the sales person was trying to tell us other places to try to go to, no you just ruined her whole experience what makes you think we would trust you....
Read moreCarries Bridal is amazing! I went there today on a whim with my fiancé. you would never guess how many dresses are in this quaint little bridal salon. It is cute and charming inside and filled to the brim with all your bridal dreams. The environment they've created there is unlike any other bridal salon I've ever visited, as a bride or otherwise. It's low key, calm and comfortable. Never once did we feel pressured to buy. Audra was my consultant and she was so nice and friendly, unlike other bridal salons I've been to, she took me along to pick out dresses. She told me to look around and grab anything I liked the looks of. That alone made this experience a million times better than other salons. I was never given a limit to the number of dresses I could try on (I did go on a Thursday so if you go on a weekend that might be different). I tried on almost every dress she and I picked and for the first time I found dresses I actually liked. I have scoured the internet and been to a couple of salons and haven't found anything that suited me. "The one" was the second dress I tried on but I continued to try on the other dresses just to be sure. She consistently reassured me that this was "my show" and I could try on anything I liked. She and Carries were fantastic! I had already spent a pretty big chunk of money on a Claire pettibone dress I ended up hating and came to carries and found the perfect dress for less than $1k! It doesn't get any better than that! Don't pass this place up, it is a gem and a rarity in the whole wedding industrial complex! You won't find a better experience anywhere else! And I'll go ahead and add that their fabrics are incredible! They are just as soft and beautiful as you've always dreamed your dress would be, and lemme tell ya, even those $3k+ dresses can't compare to the quality...
