If saving $100 means i lose business integrity, I'll pay they extra money at the Home Depot because at least they have your back when things go wrong. I visited for the first time during the 4th of July 2025 weekend! I purchased a brand new water heater and expansion tank. I was told by the associate who checked me out that I could make a return if I didn't need anything. I came back first thing in the morning to have my return rejected. Then they point out a little sign that said no returns. Prices are good, but peace of mind is better. I'm a Disabled Veteran who is trying to survive in a failing economy and a business making millions won't even return an unopened product is gross. If you're shopping here, just know they just want your money as fast as they can get it. Customer service is not a priority or return business.
To the owners answer: thanks for the reply on Google! You did not accept my refund or a restock fee. Because I was told you only keep $400 dollars in your draw. So i could not receive a cash refund but instead a store credit. I even said i found about $200 dollars worth of things I would but but I would not receive any cash back! If that is your policy, why hide it with a little sign tucked away from viewing, or why not inform the customer at the point of sale that there are no refunds. It's misleading and deceptive business practices not to be transparent with your customers. I wouldn't have taken the time to write this if I didn't just drive 45m because the person on the phone said that the manager on duty would accommodate me since I made a cash purchase.
Anyone wants a new 50gal gas water heater and expansion tank. Let me know because now I have 2. And make sure you get exactly what you need because only God forgives Builders...
Read moreThis review represents the two times I have bought something at Bankers Liquidators.
The first time was a couple years ago, when I bought a used fridge from them because we moved to our new place and the fridge didn't get cold enough. Unfortunately, I only discovered this after fully stocking it. -_- The fridge wasn't anything fancy, just one of the average fridges you'd find in apartment complexes, but it worked just fine and was relatively inexpensive. The guys here were nice enough to hold it for me when I didn't yet have the truck to haul it. They didn't have to do that, and I want to thank them for that kindness.
This most recent time was for a water heater. When I scouted out for the fridge, I noticed that they had a ton of water heaters, and when ours decided to get scary, we started looking at water heaters from Lowes and Home Depot (~$500). These guys had the size we needed for about $200, as well as the connectors and accessories, even the exact kind that we needed as we live in a mobile home and require one that hooks up from the side.
Both times, myself and my fiance have experienced very professional and courteous service. Thank you, Bankers Liquidators, for a decent fridge and awesome water heater! You are most...
Read moreBuyer beware! We thought we got water heaters at half price. NO, they actually cost you two to three times more than Home Depot or Lowes! The water heaters don't work! When you call and complain, they say "Yeah come on down, we will give you some new parts". I DON'T KNOW ABOUT YOU, BUT I DON'T HAVE TIME TO GO AROUND FIXING WATER HEATERS" My advice is to go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a new one....save yourself the headache.
**Update: So they gave me all new parts for inside the water heater. I spent 4 or 5 hours replacing them all...It still doesn't work. So then they tell me it could be the gas valve computer board on outside of heater. I take the gas valve back to them. They take it out of my sight and bring out a " new one". Well it looked just like the one I just gave them. They assured me it was new. I spend several more hours putting it in...guess what...it has same problem as before. They lied and never gave me a new gas valve. I went to Home Depot and bought a new water heater. It works great. I would NEVER do business with Bankers...
