My review is about La Cocina de Talpa, which, if I’m correct, is a small restaurant inside the market which primarily uses ingredients you can purchase in Talpa.
These are some of the most different tacos I’ve ever had. They have a tortilleria here, so the corn tacos were unbelievably fresh, and all the meat was equally as good.
While I’ve had tacos with more seasoning, they have a full salsa/lime/onion/cilantro bar. What stands out is the texture. That sounds weird, but they’re the best textured tacos I’ve ever had. When you bite, you’re not fighting a crumbly taco that gives way to too-chewy meat; you just bite through perfectly and every ingredient holds its own. It’s amazing.
Oh and did I mention $6.44 total for 4 tacos?
Tuesdays they have .99¢ tacos. I’d definitely snag some before or after you shop....

The bolillos are...
