Subway — Restaurant in Chandler

I'm not one to typically write bad reviews (and everyone says that, right?), but I legitimately have never had an order messed up at a Subway as much as I did tonight.

I got the veggie patty, which normally is frozen/refrigerated and needs to be thawed in the microwave before being added to the sub and toasted with the cheese. I didn't think anything of it when the first employee didn't do that, thinking it must have been already thawed, only to bite into a very cold sub when I got home since it was still slightly frozen in the middle.

I was there with my boyfriend and we ordered 2 subs, a veggie patty sub for me and teriyaki chicken for him. The second employee started completing my sub asking what I'd like on it first. I was listing the veggies I wanted to add, and when I got to guac, he scooped it out and put it on the teriyaki chicken sub... my boyfriend had to stop him and tell him it was the wrong sub, at which point he scooped it back up off the sub to put onto mine instead. At that point, my boyfriend then told him I'm a vegetarian, and I added that he just scraped that guac off a meaty sub, and he mumbled an apology and said, "Well, it's just the sauce..." At this point I didn't want to make a scene, so I said it was fine, and let him finish the two subs.

We had a coupon for BOGO (buy one get one free) which we gave to that same second employee when going to pay. He glanced at the coupon, threw it away, and went to put our order in to charge us. After several minutes of messing with the display, he finally told us our total was $11 something... my boyfriend asked about the BOGO coupon, and the employee said he applied 50% off instead since the veggie patty is a "deluxe" sub. They went back and forth for a few minutes, but finally my boyfriend said whatever and just paid. Looking at the receipt after we left, we got 50% off of one sub (the veggie patty) rather than just getting one of the subs free.

We rarely get Subway as it is, but we definitely will not visit this...

According to the Commercials they show, with various celebrities, they said Subway is now "Carving all Lunch Meat, fresh when you order your sandwich".

That's a lie !! I went in this past Thursday, ordered a BMT 6" Sandwich. The gentleman working behind the counter did NOT slice any of the meat to be used on my sandwich.

He pulled the already sliced lunch meat from the stack of lunch meat, in the various slots at the prep station. This is the same Old process Subway has used since they first opened.

This is false advertisement, I was very disappointed, and I walked out. I went to "Jersey Mike's", they actually slice the meat when you place your order.

Jersey Mike's sandwiches are far more superior & fresh, quality meats, fresh vegetables and toppings.

Subway needs to stop lying to us, they do not slice the meat for your sandwich when you order it. The slicer was on the counter, tucked away in the corner.

The Commercials we see on TV, the Subway on Gilbert Rd. & Ocotillo, they do not slice your meat fresh, and then make your sandwich.

Subway should be ASHAMED, the Commercials shown on TV, do not reflect what takes place inside of this Subway location.

Ordered a new Titan Turkey, advertised as 33% more meat, which the sandwich is priced more than a regular Turkey as is. Also Ordered it with DOUBLE meat on top of it being a "Titan", so paid even more foe that. Get the sandwich home and there is essentially 2 piece sof Turkey on the sandwich. Anyone who even ordered a regular turkey, not being a Titan and double meat. Would have taken issue with the scant amount of meat. It was ridiculous and pathetic. Yet they got my money so of course they couldn't care less. Called the store 14, yes 14, times before one of the 2 18-20 yr old girls on shift picked up, and that's after they let it ring 10 times each call only to pick the phone up and hang up immediately to cease the caller. I persisted 14 times before they gave in to answer the business phone. Not the first time this location has taken the extra $$ for extra items on a sandwich only to not fulfill the order up to that extra paid standard. Steer clear of this locale. You will be angered if you don't, and also lighter...
