Short version:
-I went in to make a return that was well within their return policy (exchanging for an item after purchasing same day and completely unused) -There was a technical glitch (staff member showed me) that prevented the return from happening. The staff member tried to convince me there was nothing that could be done about it, but after I stood my ground, they quickly made the return work -Be very careful about buying things for pickup on the app, don't trust the return policy, and be prepared to be firm in the need for an item to be returned regardless of technical glitches
Full version:
I bought a trash bin using the app and picked it up. I had ordered the wrong one (that part is my fault). I ordered the correct one and went in to return the other one on the same day, completely unused. The staff member showed me an error that was happening. I asked if there was someone we could call who could fix it (manager, tech support, etc). She said no. I firmly stated that items need to be able to be returned, so we need to find a way around the error or to fix it. This conversation went on for another few minutes until she finally called another team member, who told her that there's a technical issue with returns from the online order app. She responded to him "the customer isn't accepting that as an answer" (hmm, I wonder why). The other staff member came and quickly fixed the problem.
So I won't be trusting returns anymore at this location. To be honest this location is convenient for me and this is the only issue I've had, so I won't completely stop going there for necessary things, but as customers let's stand to not accept this type of experience and require them to fix issues that come up that aren't the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHad a GREAT experience. GF and I were picking up a BBQ and Victor, a stock person near there offered to help. He was gone for a while and came back with the BBQ we asked him to get. I asked if it was hard to get down and he just politely smiled and said "yes"...and didn't blink and eye when we told him we wanted a different model on the floor. He just went and got it w/o a hint of irritation towards us. He was great.
Next we went to go pay for the BBQ...the person ringing us us was a Customer Service Manager or something...the BBQ rang up 199, but was actually marked 169 at the display...we only mentioned this to her and she quickly rang it up at 169...I appreciated that she believed us and we didn't have to wait for a price check.
Finally, Derek (I think that was his name) helped us to the car. We lost our car in the parking lot and took Derek on a couple of wild goose chases with the flatbad cart, which he had to go all the back to the front, to get into the next aisle...sheesh...I felt bad, but he remained VERY polite and helpful the whole time. The BBQ would not fit in my sedan despite us BOTH working very hard with the heavy box and different angles. We finally just opened it and put the various parts of hte BBQ into the car...
The whole staff at this Target seems very happy to work there and each of these three employees today were VERY helpful. I'm glad we shopped there and highly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe store "operator" can't answer the phone on a Wednesday afternoon ? Really ? Tried multiple times today. Had to call a different department just to reach someone so I could check on an item that was on hold. Yesterday a manager at this Fry road Target promised a manager from the Ahwatukee Target that he'd hold an item for me, although it took some convincing from Paul, the Ahwatukee manager. Paul's great. He made sure they wrote down my name to keep with the item on hold as well.
Today I called the Frye road store to be sure the item was still on hold before going to pick it up. I was told I had nothing on hold, even though they'd been told I'd be in this afternoon to pick it up. So I asked to speak to a manager. I got a female manager on the line who stated she was the front end manager and that the other manager who had put my item on hold wasn't there today. This female manager was not the least concerned about what was going on. Just stated that they don't put items on hold. Even though I'd explained that another manager had agreed to it the day before. Her attitude was annoying, robotic and unconcerned. I'm going to buy the item from elsewhere instead, and I'll never again shop for ANYTHING at the Target...
