5/24/25: Short version - Holy mackerel, this place is a sweet-tooth's BFF. The decor is wonderful, bright & colorful for such a small spot, parking was not a problem, it was near the Chandler mall so traffic was a bit hectic but it was off the beaten path so to speak, so getting there was not a nightmare. The young lady was all smiles, helpful, and cheery. Definitely gotta visit again to try more goodies. Non-coffee drinkers beware: I did not see any drinks for us. The few I saw on the menu was all coffee.

Long version - Popped in this particular Saturday morning around 11 a.m. Got worried as we pulled into the lot because there was only two other cars, we started thinking the Google hours were wrong.

But no! It was open, we were the only customers. This was wonderful because we could browse to our heart's content & take pictures w/o getting in anyone else's way. Their goods aren't cheap and we spent a lot of money, and although we've only eaten a couple so far, it was money well spent.

I am not a cannoli fan but we purchased a couple, going halfies with the filling. One was 1/2 cookie butter & 1/2 Reese's; the other was 1/2 lemon & 1/2 pistachio. Had the cookie butter last night & I will say it was better than the Reese's half, which for me was too sweet w/ more PB than I like.

Later we nibbled on the Tony's almond cookie and the taralucci (lemon). Both were good but not sure I would spend the money again on either.

This morning was 1/2 the vanilla lobster tail for breakfast, so far it's my favorite. We also purchased the lemon merengue tart (or meringe as the sign read, ha ha) and a chocolate caramel tart, yet to be tasted.

Next visit we will have to try their gelato. They had a sizeable variety.

All in all, if you have not tried the Sicilian Baker and sweets are your thing, you gotta...

Note coffee is very basic (also doesn’t seem like they give their employees much of a how to on coffee but I wouldn’t blame the employees for that, more to note that I mentioned wanting a specific style for the coffee and mentioned i was fine paying normal price even if receiving less product but they were clearly unfamiliar with term i mentioned). Regardless, sweets available are very good. Really enjoyed that I could do two filling flavors for the cannoli. There was an issue with some of the lighting while we were and an employee (a manager perhaps? He gave his name and I unfortunately cannot remember it except that he mentioned transferring from one of their other locations) and he noted that the lights were bothering my companion and I and was quick to fix. Employees were all friendly and professional. Place very clean. Also employee that amended lighting issues for us came to check in and was very knowledgeable about history of restaurant and it’s history which we appreciated and were pleased to learn about other ventures the owners are pursing in dining. Definitely recommend and this is the sort of place I would genuinely recommend to friends of mine who are first generation Italian and incredibly picky with their Italian food. Note that a lot of the desserts are...

Authentic Flavors, Sweet Surprises, and a Sicilian Soul

The Sicilian Baker is more than just a cannoli bar—it’s a vibrant, delicious slice of Sicily tucked into the heart of the Valley. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by the warm scent of fresh-baked bread, simmering sauces, and sweet pastry shells.

I went in for dessert and ended up staying for a full meal—and I’m glad I did. Their signature "Create Your Own Cannoli" bar is the showstopper, with crisp shells filled to order with velvety ricotta in flavors like pistachio, chocolate chip, and even limoncello. But don’t sleep on the savory menu: the arancini (rice balls) were crispy perfection, and the meatball panini had that just-like-grandma’s quality that only comes from a kitchen rooted in tradition.

The vibe is casual and fun, with an open-concept kitchen and a display case full of eye candy—cookies, cannoli, and more. Service was quick, attentive, and kind, even on a busy evening.

Whether you're stopping in for a sweet treat, ordering a cake for a special occasion, or grabbing lunch, The Sicilian Baker delivers on every level. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian pastries and homestyle cooking with a...

Sadly disappointed again, this place is attached to their other restaurant and only had few tiny tables squished in. The girl was friendly but not knowledgeable about pastries ex. when I asked about the fillings, if they were cream or custard in Lobster and she said cream then both, so who knows. The tables had a ton crumbs and spills on them, so I asked if they could be wiped down and she handed me a wet wipe then I cleaned up after other ppl, where is my tip…? Honestly the pastries and coffee were all fairly bland. The green pastry was very soft and the lobster pastry was very crunchy on outside, I assumed it would be more flakey, I was wrong. The coffee only came in small, was watery and the flavors I asked for were not noticeable. Won’t be back, and wondering how these places get such high reviews. Plus they use plasticware instead of silverware, why put more plastic in world when you’re attached to a restaurant w/dishwasher.

I want to like this place, I really do, but they're making it difficult. The first time I came here was shortly after they opened and the manager at the time was extremely overbearing and kept trying to convince us to go online and post about the experience that he was ruining. This is only my second time coming to Sicilian Butcher and this time wasn't much better. Our table was dirty, the pepper shaker had clearly visible food stains, and our server wasn't very attentive (1 water refill during our hour-long visit). The food is very solid. You might say it's a little overpriced, but it's good. I'm just not sure it's worth dealing with everything else when there are other places that do everything else better in addition to the food.
