Posting this because I love the location, they are nice and I hope they take this advice & do better.
Had an appt. at 1pm. Wasn’t sat in a chair until 1:45. Didn’t start until 2pm. As I sat waiting, I watched them say yes to multiple walk ins, add on an additional appointment like brows or nails to a pedicure appointment, etc. There were only 4 staff members and a dozen clients. They really need to do better on scheduling. If you don’t have enough staff, stop taking walk ins or allowing more appointments or add ons. I think they are too afraid to say no, but they will lose business because I value my time too much to wait an hour for a scheduled ahead appt.
Also, I got gel but they didn’t ask me which kind. I was so frustrated by the time issue I wasn’t specific and I needed up with a thin, soft gel that looked like regular polish & didn’t last long. I don’t know if that’s all they offer but it didn’t look great. Because they were rushed, it also spilled onto my skin. For my leg “massage” they used the bottle marked “cuticle oil.” It wasn’t the nice smelling lotion I’m used to at my other salon. I did not see sanitizer stations for tools as they were laid out on a tray next to the chair. Hoping they sanitize in between!
They were polite and the SV location is great for south chapel hill. Just please do better on scheduling time and communication of your products. Hope to try again in a few months and see if...
Read moreDowngraded from five stars after I went back to get my nails re-done and had a completely contrary and disappointing experience. Tracy started on my nails and then left me and my friend sitting with acetone on our nails for over an hour when a client with an appointment came in 10 minutes after us. I understand honoring a reservation, but IMO she should’ve checked the books and not started on our nails or told us there would be a wait. We didn’t want the acetone sitting on our nails for that long so we ended up filing off our gel manicures in our own. Since they didn’t have enough staff, she returned after an hour and did my friends nails and then wanted to start on mine but I’d already been there for 2 hours and didn’t want to spend any more time there so I asked her to just buff and shape my nails and I’d come back another time. When I went to check out, she tried to charge me $25 after leaving me sitting for an hour and when I ended up filing off my nails myself and there was no polish, cuticle oil, etc. So disappointed after a great experience...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place due to the location and I have gone here at least 10 times, but I’m giving up. The good: amazing location, clean and spacious salon, one of the only salons open on Sundays around here, never a long wait, friendly staff. Not so good: Some nail techs are very good and others not so much. Multiple times they have said they will schedule me with the nail tech I request, but then I get someone different when I show up. I usually get a gel full set or dip. At the last visit, they put press on nails on me without asking and assured me that they would be durable and better. To me, it seems silly to pay $55 for something I could do at home. A week in an I’m not a fan of these new nails they do. They also didn’t clean up the inside of my nails so they are...
