I attempted to eat at Town Hall Grill yesterday (8/8/23) with a group of 15 of my coworkers. We came right at 11:00 am when the restaurant opened. I spoke with the man at the front door who was extremely rude from the start as he explained the policy for large groups. The policy apparently states that groups of 10 or more have to have their bill on one check and would include a 20% gratuity fee. He also stated we would have to sit at separate tables. We were absolutely fine being sat at separate tables and paying a 20% large party gratuity fee. What I don’t understand is why the bill has to be on one check. Who wants to deal with that? This man was rude as I tried to talk through different solutions to make it work so we could eat there- he did not try to be helpful or accommodating in the slightest. He told me it was possible to do individual bills and add the 20% gratuity fee to each bill (which is what they do at every other restaurant I’ve ever been to with a large party) BUT “per policy,” he wasn’t going to do that. Why? Why do you want to lose business to large groups? Again, being seated separately and paying a 20% gratuity was not an issue at all for us.
To the Manager/Owner: I’m not sure what this man’s job title is but I would highly reconsider having him as the face of your business when you walk in the door. His nasty attitude will continue to deter people from your restaurant. I have worked in customer service for 10+ years (several of those years being in healthcare serving our community). I understand you can’t please everyone but I would be embarrassed to have this man represent my business.
Also, big shoutout to Al’s Burger Shack across the street! Their burgers were delicious and they were more than happy to give us their...
Read moreDecided to give these mouth breathers another chance after getting food poisoning from them before....BIG MISTAKE! Should point again, yes, I got food poisoning from them last time. Ya might think, "Why ya going back to them?", like I said, 2nd chance and all.
This time I ordered their Perfect Burger (btw...not perfect...not even close). I ordered ahead of time, running a few errands and when I got to the restaurant they were still working on it. Fine, so I sit at the bar, right by their expo station. The incompetent woman working that station was letting what looked to be my burger and other people's to-go orders just sit in the window, unwrapped. The genius who owns this place apparently decided not to put in food warmers in his expo station....so I got a cold burger and cold sweet potato fries.
I pointed this out to the manager and made him aware that the last time I got food poisoning and his response....didn't take responsibility AT ALL! No offer of refund, no nothing. To the manager's meager credit, he did order a re-fire on my order. That being said, when I got it home (10 min drive) fries were cold, burger barely warm and completely lacking in flavor.
Folks, if you read my reviews on the regular, ya know I'm not a Karen, I'm not a complainer customer. If I give a bad review it's cuz the business DESERVED IT and cuz IT WAS BAD! I'm a chef by trade and been in the business a 22+ years, and I get it, food service is tough; but guess what? That doesn't mean you'll get an automatic pass from me when ya drop the ball, in the case TWICE!
Bottom line , don't here or any of their locations. Crappy food,...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at The Town Hall Grill, and it was a truly enjoyable experience from start to finish.
The ambiance is warm, welcoming, and relaxed — perfect for a casual lunch or a cozy dinner. The staff was friendly, attentive, and genuinely made me feel like a valued guest. I always appreciate when servers know the menu well and offer honest recommendations.
For my meal, I ordered Smoked Salmon Crostini, which was absolutely delicious. It was perfectly cooked with a lovely seasoning blend. I also tried the Town Hall Burger, and wow — juicy, flavorful, and cooked just the way I like it. The fries were golden and crispy, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming.
The menu offers a nice balance of classic American favorites with some creative touches. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and service, and the food came out surprisingly fast.
Pros: • Excellent food quality • Friendly, knowledgeable staff • Cozy atmosphere • Good portion sizes • Fair prices
Cons: • Parking can be a little tricky during busy hours • Limited options for vegetarians or special diets
All in all, The Town Hall Grill is definitely a spot I’ll be returning to. Whether you’re out with friends, family, or even solo, it’s a great place to enjoy a well-prepared meal in a...
