this is a small quaint very well-stocked comic store. the staff here is very knowledgeable and they are quick to find whatever it is that you are looking for within their catalogued comic supplies. me personally, I was looking for Gerard Way's Comics set but could not think of the name of it at a time and within a Split Second the employee behind the counter knew exactly what I was looking for he also gave great recommendations to other things that I might enjoy knowing that I was a beginner in the comic realm. my friend that I was with that accompanied me on the other hand is what we call an Aficionado LOL he was looking to find out when the new saga series was coming out and also had a few other questions about wild west Comics every answer he got he was satisfied with. the most impressive thing about this location is how clean it was and the arrangement of figurines that they had to offer. there was a vast arrangement from standard what we call 'toys', two beautiful elegant artistic pieces one of which I fell in love with that was from a particular Japanese artist I never heard of and unfortunately my bank account would not allow me to buy this sculpture LOL I specifically remember it was The Dark Knight series and it was a very unique design. highly...
Read moreThe first time I went to this store I was looking for a particular comic that I was missing from my collection. I messaged the store and asked if they had the comic in question and that I would be there to purchase it in 20 mins. When I arrived the staff completely ignored me to have conversations with the "regulars" of the store. I stood there waiting to be acknowledged and when someone finally spoke to me they didn't offer to help me they gave me the comic and tried to rush me out of the store. They didn't tell me about any new titles or make any attempts to make me feel welcome in their store. I ended up wandering through the store not knowing where anything was and deciding to purchase other comics that I hadn't picked up before. When I left the staff were still unwelcoming and could care less that if i had questions about anything and rushed me out of the store. It was two hours before the posted hours of when the store was going to be closing for the day. I will attend their Expo as it is one of few nerdy events in the area but I will never give their actual store business. This happened 2 years ago when I was just getting back into reading and collecting comics and I remember everything vividly as it was such AWFUL...
Read moreYesterday (10/24/24), was my first time ever going to a comic shop.
Staff: Derek was extremely helpful and friendly. He gave me a breakdown of the store layout (multiple times). Keep my comics for me while I looked around and when I was ready to check out, he took a look at my 3 comics and assessed for me whether he thought they were NM or not. Also, when I ask them questions online (fb and email) they typically respond very quickly.
Store: Very clean and back issues were organized. (A small number of the back issue boxes were packed tighter than others but that’s a tiny nitpick). Also, if you go there on a Thursday morning, you might be the only customer there.
Prices: I bought three (bagged and boarded) back issue comics. One at cover price and the other two $1 above cover (spent $13 total). The prices for those 3 comics I bought were definitely lower than if I were to buy them online.
Selection: Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find comics that were specifically from my want list but I was able to find 3 by an artist I like at a very reasonable price and in NM condition.
I would definitely go back there again to look through their back issues after a good chunk...
