Gita and Jaypal run this perfect little family-owned shop with efficiency, incredible service and personal warmth. I love going there and am always greeted when I walk in! They’ve created the most complete Indian food store in the tri-county Charleston area. Each aisle is packed with fresh, healthy and often organic foods that enable us to cook our favorite dishes. Gita’s superb hand-made chutneys and ready-made side dishes are in the cooler….try her tomato chutney—-addictive! Ask Jaypal about Ayurvedic remedies, learn more about Hindu holidays and customs or just hang out to meet other foodie friends. I buy my Dosa ingredients for Masala Dosa there and return over and over to try new things. If you are lucky, chef Gita might even give you a family...

I knew nothing of the spice I needed except for the name. I asked for assistance and was shown what I was looking for. Thankful that there are still wonderful people in this world. Will come again when I learn more about the mass quantities of spices...
