I’ve lived here for more than three years, and my experience has gone from okay to absolutely terrible. First, the rent increases are completely out of control. My rent went from about $900 in 2022 to $1365 in 2024, a 50% increase in just two years. If you sign a lease at $1300 today, expect it to be around $1850 in two years. If you’re planning to stay long-term, you might want to rethink your decision. The leasing office service has become absolutely horrendous. I used to think the previous staff (2021-2024) weren’t great because they sometimes ignored my online maintenance requests, but at least if I walked into the office, they would acknowledge my issue and send someone to fix it. The new leasing agent (the one in the office, not the one at the front desk. Btw the maintenance guy is very nice and professional), however, is shockingly rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. I went to the office to report two serious maintenance issues. First, my bathroom sink faucet was barely running, forcing me to brush my teeth in the kitchen. Second, my kitchen garbage disposal had completely stopped working. Instead of taking my concerns seriously, the leasing agent immediately asked if I had submitted the request online. I told her no, because in my past experience, the leasing office never responds to portal requests. Instead of helping me, she dismissively told me to “learn to use the portal” and insisted I submit my request online. Since I was literally sitting in front of her and her computer in her office, I asked if she could just note it in the system and have someone come take care of it. She pretended to type something but interrupted me before I could even mention the garbage disposal. How do I know she was pretending? Because no one ever came. I waited two weeks, and nothing was fixed. The worst part was how she treated me during the conversation. While I was still talking, she started unplugging her laptop (or her phone, I don’t remember), packing up her pens, and putting her phone in her bag. She was completely ignoring me and signaling that she was done listening. Then she told me she would be working from home and was leaving soon. It was 3:30 PM. I don’t know what kind of leasing office allows their front desk worker to leave early while completely ignoring residents’ concerns, but that’s exactly what happened. On top of all this, the soundproofing in these apartments is awful. The walls are so thin that I can hear my neighbors using the bathroom—flushing, running water, and even things I’d rather not hear. It’s disgusting. If you value privacy and quiet, do yourself a favor and don’t live here. The overall maintenance and cleanliness of the complex have also gone downhill. I rarely cook or eat at home, meaning there shouldn’t be much food residue in my unit, yet I still see small cockroaches slipping in from the cracks in the kitchen walls. The outdoor areas used to be okay, but now there is often dog poop over the grass. It got so bad that management had to put up “Please clean up after your pet” signs everywhere. It has improved slightly, but last month it was just gross. Between the skyrocketing rent, the completely incompetent and disrespectful leasing office, the paper-thin walls that let you hear your neighbor’s bathroom habits, and the declining cleanliness, this place is getting worse every year. Unless you’re okay with being ignored, overcharged, and living in a poorly maintained complex, I’d strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

If 0 Stars was an option I’d choose 0. I can't believe Charleston County allows the property owner and management company to operate their business. This complex is legitimately awful. We moved in here after relocating from NY and couldn't wait to get out. The staff is full of lip service but fails to follow up and actually take any action. Upon moving in, both sinks in our upstairs bathroom leaked, our shower didn't turn on, and the property had to have the water turned off 4 times within the first 60 days for "emergency" repairs throughout the complex. But wait! There's more: Apparently any resident can have as many animals as they'd like. According to the staff it is completely acceptable to have at several cats living outside your apartment who have diseases, are aggressive, and bring home dead animals. My wife and I have a 25lb beagle mix who we constantly had to pick up to carry in and out of our apartment because of the feces covered walkways, lurking cats, and various dead animals the cats brought home and left in the walkway. In addition to the feral cat issue, this resident was throwing eggs at the stairwell because she did not approve of the male couple who moved in above her even though she and her adult son were breaking actual lease rules everyday. Throughout the complex there were constantly issues, stray cats roaming, garbage littered everywhere, and many conversations with other residents about how awful the entire property was maintained and managed. Needless to say, after several months of talking to the wall (a.k.a. management) we had enough and moved to a much nicer place for only a couple hundred dollars more per month. Do yourself a favor and don't waste any more time considering this place. Everyone can do much much better than here.

This place is a slum. Overpriced and unprofessional. I would absolutely give them 0 stars if I could. I don’t even have time to list the amount of crap I put up with there for 3 years. Current office staff/management will be exchanged in a couple months I’m sure because the office staff has such a high overturn. I can’t even begin to count how many times they changed their office staff in the 3 years I was there. The apartment I lived in was filled with mold and old water stains that were just painted over and patched. I could smell it nearly every day. It was especially apparent in the bathroom area. The smell from under the sink smelled like something died and was never removed. A huge ceiling leak took almost a year to fix and the toilet spilled sewage everywhere when an inexperienced emergency maintenance staff was sent out at midnight. Air conditioner leaked water under the wall several times. Would not recommend living in a place this old at the price that’s being asked. If you’re not from Charleston, we have high heat and humidity and if buildings are not maintained properly, mold can build up. Rent will go up every year if you choose to renew. They spend all of your rent money on useless landscaping instead of fixing up the units. The amount of mud is unbelievable and unsafe. I nearly slipped countless times on it, but they don’t do anything about it. Just don’t waste your time or hard earned money here.
