4 months later... still ZERO contact from Bojangles.
For this visit, I first installed the Bojangles Android app. Until this experience I thought McDonalds had the worst mobile app. Not so as it turns out.
Problem 1: After setting up the app, I realized I was not prompted to provide a securely stored payment method. Looking the the app I see a “Payment” option. Seems logical, especially since I’ve not added an order yet. Nope. I get an error “You have no payments added. Go Home or Try Again.” Huh, yes. That is the issue. So now I have no idea what that button is for.
Problem 2: I tried to select items to order. First, a grilled chicken sandwich. So I obviously opened the “Sandwiches” menu noting that meals are separate menu choices. There is NO OPTION to order a grilled chicken sandwich. Just a combo. Seriously! We are not interested in getting drinks, so, end of app order.
Problem 3: I go directly to the store and place my order. I ask where I find the QR code in the app so I will get loyalty credit for my in-store purchase. Answer: there isn’t one.
Problem 4: A family member wants a small order of Bo Rounds. Cost: $2.50. How many I ask? 4. Wow they must be huge. (I know how big they are). The photo shows a box piled up with them.
Problem 5: I installed the app to find out what rewards are offered. I saw that my first order would trigger a free chicken sandwich for the 2nd order. It doesn’t matter since the store cannot connect the purchase to the app account.
Problem 6: Burnt chicken in my sandwich. When I got home I opened my sandwich and saw that it was dark/over-cooked. Its taste was bland. I added Chick-fil-A sauce so there would be some flavor.
Problem #7: The app provides a "Need Help?" email link. I sent an email via my laptop. It was rejected: "Your message couldn't be delivered because delivery to this group is restricted to authenticated senders." So I clicked the link on my mobile while logged in to my new Bojangles account, and pasted the message. Same error. Call Bojangles? No human contact option other than leave a message.
Problem #8: Even initiating this email from the mobile app while being logged in, my email still bounced…AGAIN! Conclusion: Bojangles really, really does not care a hoot about its customers.
Problem #9: I have tried app comm link, phone, email... It will be a miracle if this is submitted. Extreme frustration and negative impression of Bojangles.
Problem 10: Password reset, reported username was missing in my profile even though I signed up with my email address but entered a non-email username this time. It was accepted, but would not work when I tried to log in because an email was expected for the username. Sigh.
Then I found the Contact Us link in the footer of the web site and used it to send a message. The instructions said to include details. The reality is that the textbox is limited to 1200 characters.
Bojangles places so many friction factors in the way of customer contact that I wonder how many now-former-customers simply give up on Bojangles, unwilling to play...
Read moreI placed an order at their 20 Raiford Dr. Concord NC location. I ordered 2 BEC Biscuits, a Cajun Filet Biscuit, a Large Dirty Rice and Fries. I got a single steak biscuit. I tried to reason and work it out with the Corporate office but only got nowhere and bullied so I filed a complaint with the BBB and this is their cowardly response. Since they refused to refund me, I disputed the charge with my credit card and got my refund that way!!! Here is their reply: I am rejecting this response because: Unbelievable to say the least! You can most certainly process a refund if you want to! Who did I purchase the food from? Bojangles. Who prepared the food? Bojangles. Who packed the packed order in a SEALED Bojangles bag? A careless Bojangles employee that was not paying attention to what they were doing. Who delivered the order in a SEALED BAG? Uber eats. So, if you do not mind please explain to me and anyone reading this with the least amount of common sense how this is Uber eats fault and why should they refund something that is clearly not their fault? But hey, that is just fine. After reading you reply and seeing how much you really DO NOT care about your former customers, I simply picked up the phone and called my credit card company, made them aware of the problem and how you neglected to take care of the mistake that was clearly 100% Bojangles fault, and they were shocked to see the helpless reply you sent, they refunded the full amount of the order, charged Bojangles back, and blocked Bojangles from any attempted charge backs. Not only did you lose a very loyal customer, but you also lost money, and now you have this very bad complaint that will stay on your company's record for a long time and I as well will blast this all over any website I can to let the public know how bad Bojangles really does treat people. I hope this makes you feel good by trying to intimidate and push people around but bullying them and not doing the right thing! I can only hope something like this happens to you and no one is willing to help you out and just wants to screw someone out of money when it cost you nothing! You really need to learn how to treat people and how real customer service works...! Best of luck because it is certain you will need all the help you can get!!! In closing, I have a very good friend that handles consumer affairs like this in the Charlotte NC area and I have spoken with him and he said he would love to air this on television and that is going to be my next step in doing so in front of your corporate office located at 500 Forrest Pointe Circle Charlotte NC 28273 and hopefully we will be able to have Mr. Jose Armario available to speak. Read moreThe quality of service, food prep, and personalized care is over!!! I never thought bojango’s would fall apart in your larger cities like Charlotte NC . The biscuits aren’t cooked till done cold, Mold and smelly stale bread cooked on a fat piece of floured crispy chicken .. ask fir lettuce and tomatoes .. is there hands unprotected.. Very unsanitary and food doesn’t look clean to eat, the taste of tea from detergent can be tasted. Dish washing liquid left in containers, bread for Bo sandwich cold buns, and you want 12/ 13 dollars for this!! No artistic patience or care about what is sold. Staff marketing ready to be violent and volatile or just don’t care. what a customer thinks…if complain in a sweet way or ask for anything more at the window you can be ignored but , making it known the food here is a mess. These people treat human beings as if they have no feelings , staff has no human connection dealing with the public. They hate there jobs and as an arts educational specialist in creating art , designing ads , teaching marketing, and creative thinking .. dealing with self esteems and self worth.. you adults are killing a generation of needy children and adults forced to work . I’m a master creative thinker after traveling 5/6 schools a year in three / four states for over 40 years dealing with principals and teachers like myself certified as a specialist in people skills for 40 years . People all over this country are sick and tired of low wages, being dismissed , know they are asking bad products. These people know they are a danger to the public and themselves during Covid and corporate America pockets the money . Told by there bosses cut back good service.. fast food is a necessity as they travel by car working three and four jobs and you can’t stop anywhere and get a decent meal from a fast food restaurant without it being garbage. No taste ! You were the best ! Now, in Raleigh trapped for a while , I’d stop at Bojangles and the food was good but the staff was hateful to customers . Making them wait for ever due to fear of staff lashing out!! The best Bojangles are in the mountains and very small towns in the South and SC / NC.. These inner city stores are very bad.., I mean BAD BUSINESS… you should be ashamed Bojangles!! So , hurt me for the truth and I can go public.. it’s a matter of time and someone’s going to be very I’ll and sick.. I pray not ! I can’t eat your product anymore.. I am very exposed.. it’s sad! I want add a photo it’s to Gross to share Avenue I have too much dignity. People do want to work but, not where customers have just stopped coming to your places of...
