BEWARE
I had to wait a few weeks before writing a review about this company so here it goes: I have used Komfort Air for 2.5 years for my annual tune ups etc....They have always been prompt and have done a good job, including showing me how to clean my ERV filters. It wasn't until this last time with our Tech (jason) and sale rep (eric) that issues happened. The Tech came for our annual heating tune up, He was up looking at the furnace for about 20 minutes when the sales rep arrived. Once they were both finished they came down to explain that my heat exchanger had a crack in it( 8 year old furnace). Showing me pictures etc... They also stated they didn't think it was under warranty, even though Lennox has a 20 year warranty on heat exchangers. So it would cost me around 3000-4000 dollars to replace OR i could get a whole new system for 13k!. Needless to say I said I wasn't going to replace everything, and that once we knew the exact numbers for the heat exchanger I would probably go that route. They then had me sign up for a "loan/finance plan" which gave a hard credit score check. (financed through service experts finance). I should have read the fine print but was thinking it was just a pre approval letter as we did not know the exact price of the repair. As they wouldn't give me the exact price to repair that heat exchanger. The next day the tech calls says the part can't be in for at least 3 weeks, and has another sales rep give me prices just to replace the furnace....still close to 6k to 7k. But no one in the company will give me an exact price at this point. I start getting the feeling they are just trying to get me to spend $$$. So, I 3 other local companies out, pay for 3 different service fees for those companies only to find that none of the other companies can find a crack in the heat exchanger, and that the system looks great. The last two companies took pictures as well and stated the pictures that Komfort took did not even look like my heat exchanger.... So, based on this the company tries to pressure customers into repairing things just to get money thru lying and deceit. I don't know if it was just these techs and sales reps as stated earlier other techs were great. The only positive I can say is that Iesha the customer rep that answers their phone was a help in getting everything canceled including the service finance contract that they roped me into. Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreetings everyone! A young lady by the name of KARIAH just left our home and she did a superb job! I was truly impressed! I was worried things would be ābandagedā as usual and Iād be calling back in a day or two. We have had maintenance out here a couple of times before concerning our unit. Too hot/cold/no heat or air flowing thru the upstairs vents. And the unit would work for a while and then fall back into a state of malfunctioning. Sad to say, I thought after they āfixedā it and it stopped performing to its fullest capacity again and maintenance knew it, then itās ok. WHY WOULD I THINK LIKE THATā¦Because they are educated on that particular thing and KNOW what it needs to make sure the home functions well and is safe the family to use. So donāt judge meā¦lol I have to say I was very impressed with KARIAH! She kept me informed with every issue she came across and what she needed to do and did to correct it. She was here over an hour and she saw some things that were not as they should have been and she corrected them! (This is a new build close to 3yrs) She corrected the things that shouldāve been completed and in full operation before we moved in. After finding those āāissuesāā she made SURE that everything was operable as it should be for our safety and comfort and before she left, she double checked everything and gave us the final details, reiterating everything she had done from start to finish. I had questions in the end right before she walked out the door and she answered them with no hesitation. Plus, she added: āif I missed anything or you need us again, give us a callā¦ā She represented Komfort Air very well⦠My unit is functioning as it should now! The air is flowing properly as it should and now that I know more about this piece of equipment, let it mess up again. Iāll be calling. If it does get to that point, If we donāt see KARIAH, we best have someone as knowledgeable as she is! I hope she gets to read this: KARIAH, much gratitude to you, your patience with our unit, gratitude for your time that you stayed to make sure our unit was functioning properly and safe for us to use. Gratitude for keeping us abreast of things as you worked, š¤£my son just came downstairs and said itās actually COLD IN HEREš¤£š¤£š¤£ no one has EEEEVER, ever, said that since weāve been hereā¦you did a great job! Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe've worked with Komfort Air for years and have been very happy with them. They have always sent out quality, genuinely nice people to do the work who did a good job. It came time to replace the A/C system and the hot water heater so we opted for top of the line systems using the Advantage Plan. The Lennox A/C system itself is very good and quiet for the heating and air and the Rinnai Tankless water heater is also very nice, however, I think due to the way the initial contractor installed the heating and A/C ductwork with long ducts going to my bonus room when the house was built, it still was not heating and cooling properly upstairs. Komfort Air even tried adding an additional duct to my bonus room. Still wasn't a good temp. During a recent maintenance check, Mike Long suggested we use a mini-split. We got that added to the advantage plan and they came out right away and got that installed. Kudos to the following folks: Dominique & Daniel installed the A/C Unit and did a great job and I enjoyed having them around. Plumbers Mike and John did a great job on the tankless water heater install and are both nice folks. Mike Long did the A/C yearly service recently and when I mentioned the bonus room was still not cooling properly, he did some checking to get the best recommendation of using a mini-Split in the bonus room to solve the problem. Eddie and G had the mini-split installed just a few days later and it now feels wonderful all the time upstairs. Plumbers Joe and Leeroy recently did our yearly maintenance last week and noticed the bladder for our water tank had burst. (I erroneously thought it was a prefilter under the house causing the bad water pressure). Joe and Leeroy just finished replacing the water tank and installing hot water return piping to get the hot water to each faucet faster and our water pressure is so much better and now when we turn on the hot it is hot so much faster than before. Jason in sales has also good to work with over the years. Thanks team. We appreciate you.
11/13/24 update. Plumbers Clarence and Joe just left after installing a Halo 5 filter under the house. They always do a top notch job and even spotted and corrected some deficiencies that a previous (non-Komfort Air) plumber had left. We love these guys.
