Independence Square — Local services in Charlotte

I go here often bc of harbor freight and rugged warehouse. They are decent, not excellent but decent. Whatever you do, do not try to use a $100 Bill in any of the stores even when busy. They will all tell you they do not have change. The bank will not make change for you unless you have a bank account there. I literally had to leave and drive 2 miles up the road to get change. It was absurd. Banks should break change regardless. You are not trying to deposit a check or cash a check. Simply need smaller bills so you can spend them at that location. Banks have the ability to tell if bills are fake or not. So there's no legitimate reason for refusing to break $100 especially given that's how banks always cash checks these days. Yhe Super GMart, Harbor Freight, Walmart Neighborhood Market, and Ruby Tuesday's are wonderful. I haven't been to most shops here. The parking is quite abundant, but the lot and driving areas are very much in need of repair. Also, getting in is easy but getting out of the shopping center is dangerous and/or slow. There are three (3) exits. Onto Margaret Wallace there are two blind corners and a car swallowing pothole, but is fastest of the three. Onto Independence (74) at the light is the safest, but has you dodging incoming traffic and another major pothole. Onto 74 at the Walmart end is taking yoyr life into your hands no matter if you're turning right or left (which I do not recommend turning left!), and you better not have a time limit to get where...

This is a different set of stores .. with Super G as the big box.. on the block .. going into Super G is a treat into its self .. the fresh market in the back worth the trip .. next in the corner is the restaurants more than one ..with all kinds of different foods .. THIS IS NOT YOUR HARRIS TEETER..largest produce dept in town with great prices to boot .. they carry things that you will never fine in other stores .. you must go to this store ... walmart open a store next door and 6 mo. Later closed there doors .. gone ,done out of there !!!
