the food was good the atmosphere was good but the service in the bar was horrible and this is coming from a former bartender who understands the business.. she had no clue what was going on. we first get there.. we waited 1 min.. 2 min.. 3 min... I was like she must be busy.. then 5 min went by cause I started to count and when u know u start a count it's been a long time. then she finally came and said "yall ready?" like it was bothering her to come over.. then she took our drinks and walked off I had to tell we was ready to order.. especially since we sat there so long and the menu was already out. so we ordered the food and drinks.. and still took a while to get those. now when I brought drinks I always asked if someone would like water as well or I just brought it out without interrupting guest.. but she never asked .. you would think she would at least ask if she knows we ordered spicy food... but ok . so our food gets here and if course she didnt check if the everything was fine so I could at least let her know I needed waters.. no. I had to stop her in mid stride walking passed me and had to almost yell to get her attention.. so I ordered the waters and I also ordered hush puppies .. so I continued eating and still no water.. my mouth is getting a filled with the great spices but its starting to burn.. still no water.. so I drank my Hennessy..well that didnt help much but it was little better.. but still then no water.. then I'm still eating ...no I'm looking around hoping she would notice .. and of course she didnt then u saw her grab some money and get change ...and give it to someone else in which I'm sure they been waiting a while too... so then she finally realized she didnt bring water and she finally got them.. so I'm so thirsty by this time I almost drank all of it instantly... but i thought to myself I better save some cause I dont know when she will be back . but I couldn't resist so I drank the rest of it.. so I'm eating . and sucking on ice the remainder of my time there. I started drinking my friends water. and she just kept passing us by so fast I couldnt just ask for some . finally after I'm basically done we had to stop her and ask for a refill.. she got it . and then I wrapped my food up. then i had to wait for the check ..lmao.. by this time i couldnt get mad instead I laughed at how bad this service was. matter of fact I'm sitting in the parking lot writing this cause I'm so upset. she didnt even tell me or us her name.. no greet no nothing. and I never write on people but man this was the worst experience ever.. if it wasnt for the good food and music I would have asked for a manager. I may come back or I may not. but this...
Read moreTerrible experience. The hostess did not have enough buzzers, but refused several guests requests to put their names on a list. While we were waiting for our buzzer, a group came in with a flashing buzzer. The hostess told them that they were too late and their table had been given away. One of the ladies said they had been outside (the waiting area was packed) and they came in as soon as the buzzer went off. The hostess refused to seat them until they started getting loud and argumentative (rightfully so, the hostess was extremely rude and dismissive). After we got our buzzer, a gentleman came to the hostess stand with a flashing buzzer, but the hostess reset it and told him they weren’t ready for him. He was clearly aggravated and said it was the third time that had happened in the last hour. Several other people came up to ask their place in the queue and each time, they were told they were next. The place was packed and we were told an hour’s wait. After over an hour, we went to see how far off we were, and the hostess told us there were three people in front of us. After another twenty minutes and three groups being sat, we made our way to the hostess stand. The woman that came in after us was already there, telling the hostess they’d been there over an hour and asking how much longer. The hostess told them they were next, so we asked what our position was and were told there was somebody else in front of us. At that point we gave the buzzer back and left, since the hostess clearly wasn’t interested in providing any level of customer service, and was simply giving tables to those who complained the loudest. The restaurant had a strong marijuana odor as well, as if the terrible service wasn’t bad enough. We will...
Read moreFor anyone who loves Cajun seafood, don’t go further than King Crab.
My order (pictured) included: • ½ lb of shrimp • 1 lb of snow crab • ½ lb of sausage • Served with 2 corns and 2 potatoes • Cajun, mild seasoning
I also added six oysters (lightly cooked, Cajun, mild).
The snow crab was as soft as butter, the meat sliding out in big, tender chunks—always a good sign. The two clusters had generous portions, seasoned perfectly without overpowering the natural flavor.
The shrimp came headless but with shell and legs intact, which really enriched the flavor. The sausage was served in thin slices and cooked just right. The potatoes were outstanding—steamy, hearty, and naturally textured. The corn had a nice size for the portion, and the kernels came off easily with each bite without being tough on the teeth. The Cajun seasoning overall was spot on: bold enough to deliver a punch, yet balanced so nothing felt too strong or too light.
The oysters surprised me most—they were large, meaty, and tasted fantastic. Light Cajun seasoning at mild heat, plus a squeeze of lemon juice, made them perfect.
The total came to $67. While higher than typical takeout, the quality and portions made it worth every dollar. Add in the convenient takeout setup and the friendly staff, and the whole experience felt like great value.
Bottom line: King Crab serves up authentic Cajun seafood that’s flavorful, generous, and absolutely...
