Fortune Cookie 3 — Restaurant in Charlotte

New to ordering to-go, mostly always dine in, but due to current global situation we decided to try Fortune Cookie 3 as they deliver. Called and spoke with Romey and unfortunately despite Google placing them under delivery status they are pickup only. The drive was worth it! I highly recommend this place. The customer service was great and Romey great at describing all of the menu options. The chicken and mixed vegetables didn’t have the chewy gelatinous coating that has you questioning the freshness. The house fried rice was good, loved the bean sprouts and shrimp not rubbery, could have used a little more seasoning but cooked to perfection. Not too greasy. The sesame chicken is a must! More chicken to breading ratio and great flavor! The wings also good. If our second order is as good as this one, we will become regulars. Usually their food is very good, delivery is as expected. Today I ordered chicken and snow peas. What I got was chicken and lots and lots and lots of carrots and water chestnuts and nothing else (not much chicken either). When I called the restaurant, the person said, "Oh yeah, we tried to call you to tell you that we are out of snow peas." Me: "I didn't get any call." Him: "Well, the call didn't go through." They couldn't try again?? I had received a previous call that verified I wanted no rice, so I know they had the correct number and that it works. No evidence on my cell phone of any incoming call or missed call. I can deal with mistakes, but I can't stand LIARS. BTW, the chicken/carrots/water chestnuts was pretty tasteless, and I can't even find that item on their menu. Definitely not worth $8.95. I have ordered from them many times, even for large family...

I've been eating at this Chinese restaurant for years, but things have really changed to the bad in the past year I would say...they need to be cleaner with the way they deal with the food when they are preparing it and storing it. I hadn't eaten since the night before,my stomach was completely empty. I picked up my order about 8 p.m., ate it within 30 to 45 minutes got sick thought it was a stomach bug ,then put the food in the refrigerator and ate it the next day again with no other food and again I got sick .I didn't think that it was the food the night before or I wouldn't have ate it the second day, I won't be back until their sanitation grade...
