Hong Kong Bakery — Restaurant in Charlotte

They make a nice tres leches cake in different flavors, but not as nice as the ones I used to have in San Antonio 😝 I like their mocha one the best and enjoy most of their other desserts as well. They recently added macarons to their menu but I didnt enjoy them at all. They were too sweet and tasted like they were frozen then dethawed. I absolutely love their breads and you get a large sized loaf too. I've also ordered birthday cakes which you can customize the filling and toppings. They can put words on it, but my daughter wanted it plain, so I just stuck some candles on there at home. Poor quality bakery over customer satisfaction - The owner is going to tell me that she bake her churros fresh in the following morning. The churros I almost bought have the texture of a plastic chew toy (I tried to chew it, almost broke my front teeth). It would make a great treat for a dog. The cashier saw this is no longer a good product and decided not to charge me, pretty much it was trashed. However the owner had a problem with it bc she could not made money off of a overdue churros. I always have love their bread it reminds of the kind of bread we eat back home, unfortunately I won’t be going back because the Asian lady at the counter is sooooooo RUDE. I have had more than one encounter with her and it is always the same. You ask them to cut your loaf of bread, they refuse insisting you buy the half and half but I don’t want the half and half why cut so many bread into halves and force it down people’s throats plus they keep increasing their price.
