I been shopping at this Farmers market location for years. This the first time I had an incident that rub me the wrong way. I don't think the young lady know I was disappointed in her customer service because I didn't address it. I had a lot of bags of vegetables that was heavy and I had lots more shopping to do. I asked her if I could leave the bags with her behind the counter till I finished cause they were heavy. She didn't say anything just look dumb then she act like she didn't know what to say and muddle something that wasn't legible so I said I see you having a problem giving me and answer. Told her that's ok. Preceded to shop but was just too heavy. Went to another check out to pay for those items. My items came to $15.05. I had $20.00. I didn't want to break the $5.00 and felt sure I had some change. After digging in my purse which seems like forever I finally told him I would go to the car that I was sure I had five cents in there. After I went to the car It suddenly crossed my mind that he could have said that's ok over five cents. 😂. No I don't be looking for a hand out but come on five cents. Paid for my items. Put them in car and came back to complete my shopping. This time my total purchase was $27.??. Used my credit card. Only got four items. The honey was $17.00. I spent $42.00 total that day and felt like customer service suck. By the way it was the young folks who has no customer service skills who could care less that they may be effecting this business sales. The owners is always pleasant. They go out their way to speak and make you feel welcome. People behind the registers have to look in our face. They need them skills too cause some of us might not come back. They not the only...
Read moreThe BEST farmers market in Charlotte. We used to live right down the road and would buy all of our fresh produce here. Now we have moved a bit further away, but still try to shop here when we are able to make it over. We buy bags of produce that last my fiancé and I weeks, and have never spent more than $40. We have also never had a bad experience with produce going bad too soon (as it sometimes does from the grocery store).
Plan ahead, because it can get VERY busy on Saturdays and parking can be a bit tight. That said, it is worth the time to find a parking spot for the value of the...
Read moreThis really isn't a farmers market, it's a large produce market all run by the same business. They had some good local produce but there was also a lot of stuff that seemed like they just bought it from Walmart and then marked the price up 2x. The prices on the local stuff were high too, but I also understand their neighborhood and clientele probably don't care, and honestly they are the only place this far into the city you can buy local produce like that. I would go back but for some of the local stuff but bring plenty of money and don't expect to...
