Also there's a lot of things to see around the park, like the clock tower, or the mirror finish stainless steel sphere, it's supposed to do something, though I couldn't figure it out, fountains and waterfalls, there's a beautiful trail to walk or job on - a lot of people running, skating or riding bikes. And since it's so close to uptown there's a lot of entertainment in walking distance, the Metropolitan is right there - gives you access to stores, cafes and restaurants overlooking the park and creek or the streets. It's a very small park and it's mostly an open grassy area with minimal trees/shade. Luckily, there are some trees that provide shade around the perimeter of the park and there's small tables set up with chairs.
This park was a little crowded for my normal preferences, but we were able to get a table closer to the greenway which was further away from most people who were along the Kings Drive section of the park.
