Nothing Bundt Cakes — Restaurant in Charlotte

I visited the S Kings location this afternoon to pick up a birthday cake for my 6 yo. He does not not care for icing, but the rest of the family does. I asked the lady working there if there was any way to put icing on only half of the cake. She said no-then she went back to ask the manager-who I could see sitting in the back and she said no. No apologies were given. The girl that was helping us said we can either ice the cake or not ice the cake, but that they could not do half. I asked if I could have a little bit of icing on the side because I really wanted the icing :) She again said no but went back to ask the manager and again she was sitting on her stool and all she’s said was no. This really irritated me. Good customer service was lacking here. I called back after we left to ask her why that was the case (because I find it to be a little ridiculous). She was very friendly and responded that it was a “corporate thing.” I said ok and that’s was the end. I would love to know from “corporate” why can one not order a bundt cake with half (one side) the icing?

Positive note, the cake was good even without icing, but I will be reluctant to purchase again from this location for the sole customer...

I had the pleasure of visiting Nothing Bundt Cakes recently, and I can honestly say the experience was made unforgettable thanks to the exceptional customer service provided by a young team member named Robert. From the moment I walked in, Robert greeted me with a genuine smile and such enthusiasm that it instantly brightened my day.

He patiently walked me through the different cake flavors and sizes, offering thoughtful recommendations without being pushy. His attention to detail, kindness, and willingness to answer all my questions truly stood out. It’s rare to see someone so young show such professionalism while also making the interaction feel warm and personal.

The cakes themselves were, of course, absolutely delicious, but it was Robert’s outstanding service that made my visit extra special. Employees like him are what make customers want to keep coming back. Huge kudos to Nothing Bundt Cakes for having such a spectacular worker on their team—I’ll definitely be returning, and I’ll be looking forward to being helped by...

I've gotten full size cakes, bundtinis, and bundlets from this location and the one on Rea road. This location is much friendlier and more helpful. The cakes are absolutely delicious! I've been a little annoyed this week however. I had to wait for my order on Thursday, even though the online ordering has you choose a pickup time, and today they told me 2 of my cakes (of course one of them was for the birthday girl - the only reason I was buying cakes in the first place) weren't available because they didn't have any left....what? I placed the order and chose the pickup time 5 days ago, why wouldn't they have put it aside for me? Then when I asked why, they were suddenly available, just needed to be iced....what? Then the girl doing the icing gives me an attitude....what? I'm the paying customer. Almost $20 for 4 mini cakes. I could've gone somewhere else cheaper, but me and my entire company enjoy this bakery and recommend it to everyone. Maybe plan if you're ordering ahead, and have more than one...
