I would strongly suggest you avoid this place for only one reason, the manager. She not only is incredibly rude and backtalks behind people's backs but she is also grossly incompetent.
We came up for a wedding. I was the best man. We drove up from Gainesville. Earlier in the week we went to the local men's Warehouse branch in Gainesville to rent a tux. The tux needed to fit very specific criteria and the people at the Gainesville store were just wonderful. We picked everything out. We didn't need a full suit so we picked and chose what we wanted. The took my measurements and it was fantastic. We had to pick a more expensive suit because the tux needed a lapel. They measured me perfectly for a white shirt and things were fantastic. They told me I can pick up the suit on Thursday.
We drove up here and went to pick up the suit. No one was at the tux rental area. The lady asked us to sign in on a piece of paper before she could help us. The paper just had our name and what we are here for... I wrote my name and pick up. The lady (spoiler alert she turned out to be the manager) then at her leisure walked up and read what we were here for... She literally could have just asked me... No worries maybe she's set in her ways stuck in the 1940s or whenever. She went and got the suit and asked me to pay. While we were paying this lovely gentleman walked up to here because he had a fitting issue. She didn't even look at him and told him to go to another corner of the store. He was polite and mentioned he was from an airline and they told him to come here. She repeated very rudely to go to a specific corner. When he walked away she mumbled "unless you got a free ticket for me I'm not going to help you". 10/10.
She asks me before I leave if I wanted to try my suit. Something told me I should... The white shirt was huge, the jacket was massive and missed the lapel and finally it had a tie and other things we didn't ask for...
I walked out and I told her I'm sorry but this isn't the suit I asked for. She shrugged and told me this is the cheapest suit and this is what you paid for. I explained that we didn't rent a full suit only certain parts which is why the price was lower and it was fitted. She just shrugged... My friend who is the groom asked her if she can find a smaller shirt because the white shirt was large. She just walked away and said "there is nothing I can do about that" and just walked away...
She came back after a while after she noticed we weren't leaving. I asked her who I need to talk to about this, she said I need to talk to her because she's the manager... At that point I decided to give up and contact corporate after the fact.
While I was changing back she came back and gave me a card and told me if I have a grievance to call this number and mention that the Gainesville store messed things up not them.
Let me be clear about something. I don't know who messed up and I understand sometimes mistakes happen but the Gainesville store was nothing but helpful and perfect, she was absolutely incompetent and if I had to hazard a guess I think she realized she was in trouble and elected to try and divert the blame on Gainesville.
I'll be contacting their main office with this complaint but I wanted to post this review to warn anyone who might have the misfortune of meeting...
Read moreRecently purchased a new Calvin Klein tuxedo from this location. I've bought several suits from Men's Wearhouse over the years, but never at this location. I'm very happy with the tux and the price, and the alterations were done very well. The service, not so much. Our salesman was very pleasant when my wife called and spoke with him on the phone about what options they had, so we asked for him when we came into the store. He was very personable. As someone that has not worn a tux in 20 years, though, I have to say I felt like I was being more laughed at than with when I was asking questions about cummerbunds and tux shirt styles, but different people have different senses of humor. The big issue for us, though, came when we went to pick up the tux. We agreed to a pickup time of 10:30 AM on the day we were leaving to head out of town for the wedding we were attending. They had not had the right size tux shirt in this store, so the salesman told us they would have one sent over from the Concord store. Fortunately my wife had checked the evening before our scheduled pickup time and learned that the shirt was actually being shipped from Texas rather than the other nearby store and was due in by the end of that business day. Since we were leaving around noon, that was not going to be an option for us so we went ahead and found another shirt at store nearer our house to have a fallback just in case. When my wife arrived to pick up the tux and shirt (if it had in fact arrived in time), the salesman told her it had not, in fact, arrived. She told him she would then need to return the shirts (we had gotten the 3 for 1 deal they were running) and just keep the tux with its alterations. I understand that mistakes can be made, and had the salesman simply apologized for the mistake and let her return the shirts, we would have been fine with that. As it turned out though, he was apparently put out that we wanted to return a purchase and simply said another gentleman, Brian, would need to do that, and then turned and walked away, never to be seen again. No apology for the mix-up or the inconvenience we were caused, no good bye, nothing. It seemed apparent that he was more concerned with the sale than with the customer. Fortunately, Brian was very helpful and very nicely helped my wife return the shirts, but she was not a happy lady when she got back to our house. Again, the tux was great. But I was not impressed with the service we received to...
Read moreWhere do I begin. I made a custom suit order starting on February 19th for my wedding that is on April 30th. I was told by the in store rep to put down my event date as March 12th to give ample time for the suits arrival and tailoring process during the fitting. March 12th roles around with no updates (failure to deliver on the product that I paid in full for), not a single phone call to update me on my suits status (failure to notify a customer of their order status) - I call on March 31st to find a store rep without a clue of the whereabouts of my suit. I call Monday April 4th - I was told my suit has arrived and is ready for fitting/pick up. I go April 8th and take a half day of PTO to go try on my suit. I arrive and ask for the suit and find out my suit cannot be found anywhere - when 2 reps in the store helped search the back for my suit without any trace of it being in the store for pick up. Again, I did not receive any notice on my suit I had to call in every time. April 9th comes and I go try on my suit and they gave me a pant size of 12 inches too big! And the fabric doesn’t match and they made me stand in front of the store with sagging pants to get tailored in front of everyone with my pants nearly falling off (embarrassing)…. Again, a custom suit that I was fitted for exact measurements - we are 8 weeks into this process and April 11th Monday (today) I went in store for pick up again…. The pants were still too big because of the massive screw up in pant size difference from the initial measurement. I am waiting for a refund but cannot get one until the store manager is onsite.
Long story short. Poor customer service - Poor suit service - Poor product of custom suits.
This store location and business overall no longer has my business. Would not recommend.
