The worst Red Robin ever. I will never go back to another Red Robin. Since I had my Birthday Burger to redeem, my husband and I decided to go while we visited the mall. The two hostesses were extremely pleasant and gave us such a friendly welcome. When we sat down, an employee said he was going to be over in a minute, but 5 minutes later another waiter (Akin) stopped by. He introduced himself and went right ahead asking for our order without even asking for our drinks. We placed an appetizer and got that before we even got anything to drink. This wouldn’t have been a problem had we not ordered the jalapeño coins which are delicious, but spicy. So I kindly asked the lady who dropped them off if she could get our drinks because we had not seen our waiter. We ended up getting two sets of drinks which was great since my husband finished off his two and nobody asked if he wanted a refill 🙄
The food came out fast which was nice since we were starving. Unfortunately, my entree was TERRIBLE. I ordered the lettuce wrapped burger with gauc, onions and tomatoes. The burger was so over cooked that it crunches every single time I bit into it. It was so disgusting. The bottomless salad was horrible, too. It looked like a mix from the grocery store and tasted like one too. Ugh! Although it was bottomless, I never asked for a refill. My husband’s was okay, but he disliked the appetizer and his burger (while over cooked) wasn’t horrible.
We only saw Akin one other time...where we briefly stopped by to see if my husband wanted another thing of fries. Luckily, we had already been to a Red Robin and knew to checkout via the machine on the table. But if we hadn’t, the waiter never mentioned it and never stopped by for one final sweep to explain the payment.
The technology on the table is absolutely disgusting. You have to run and wash your hands every time you touch it which makes for an unpleasant experience - I really don’t think they clean them after each use. Yuck! Plus, you don’t get customer service with these things. The wait staff relies heavily on this machine to place apps, desserts, drinks and even to pay. So it’s almost like - what’s the point of sitting down. Takeout would suffice and you wouldn’t have to tip. Plus, they make you pay for games on it when it used to be free several years ago.

Read moreThe food was fantastic tonight. The service wasn't. I have come here before, and it has been pretty great most of the time, but tonight there was a clear difference. Our server was apathetic and almost seemed annoyed that my mother and I were there. I visited with my mother and we were having a good time but the waitress wasn't pleasant at all.
We sat, and no one showed up at our table for about 10 minutes. I started a timer for 2 minutes after the initial 10, and she happened to finally arrive just before we were about to leave.
We asked for water and it didn't arrive until our meal was at the table nearly 15 minutes after we ordered. In other words, nearly 30 minutes after we arrived. We asked for water, and I emphasized no ice. She even repeated it back and brought us ice. That was alright, I asked if she would please bring one without. Another 15 minutes passed, and I was hald way through my food, and when it did arrive, she put it down nearly slinging it onto the table, and said "here you go" with an unpleasant attitude and kept moving.
This was the attitude we encountered from the entire time. I asked for ranch, which I finally got near the end of my meal. I wanted dessert, but I did t want to add more money to the bill. I still tipped 20 percent because I don't believe in returning a wrong attitude after receiving one.
This behavior is unacceptable. The food was so good, but the entire experience completely overshadowed that, and it soured the entire night. I'm extremely generous with my tipping and usually tip 30 percent for the places I frequent, regardless of the person serving, when they provide what is just a run of the mill experience. As long as the service is satisfactory and even up to 50 at places where the service is great. I've cash apped servers very generous tips when that happens.
Yes, I left a 20 percent tip, but not because she deserved it. It's because it's the right thing to do, unlike how we were treated the entire time. I will never come back here, and I hope with even the small reach I have here because of how often I rate restaurants, I'm able to make someone think twice before coming here. You can look at my review history, and there are only 3-4 other places I've ever had terrible service with in the nearly 5-6 years since I started these reviews, and this one was the worst.

We called in to place a curbside order because we don't eat in restaurants right now because we still believe in covid-19. But during us placing a curbside order, it started raining. Ms. Autumn was OUTSTANDING AND HAD SUPER AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE. SHE DESERVES A $10 RAISE. We was outside and parked in Bay #1 and called the number to tell them what bay we was in. That is when we interacted with MS. CARTER. SHE WAS HORRIBLE AND HAD SUPER TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. SHE TOLD US SINCE IT IS RAINING, THEY CAN'T DO CURBSIDE ANY LONGER AND THAT WE WOULD HAVE TO COME INSIDE. WE TOLD HER THAT IS NOT RIGHT, I'M A HANDICAPPED MAN AND MY WIFE PLACED A CURBSIDE ORDER AND WE GET MILITARY DISCOUNT. SHE SAID WE DON'T HAVE THE GEAR FOR COMING OUT RIGHT NOW BECAUSE ITS RAINING, SO YOU WILL HAVE TO COME IN. ME AND MY WIFE SAID, WHAT! THEN SHE SAID, I WILL JUST BRING IT OUT, WITH AN ATTITUDE AND HUNG UP THE PHONE. SHE BROUGHT THE FOOD AND DRINKS OUT. SHE WAS RUSHING US, DIDN'T SAY A WORD. WE THANK HER, TOLD HER TO HAVE A BLESS DAY AND SHE JUST WALKED OFF AND DIDN'T SAY NOTHING. WE TOOK THE FOOD TO THE MALL RIGHT THEIR BECAUSE WE WERE GOING TO DO SOME SHOPPING AND ATE THE FOOD IN THE CAR. IT LOOK LIKE SOMEBODY SHAKE THE FOOD UP IN THE CONTAINERS AND FRIES WAS EVERYWHERE. NAPKINS EVERYWHERE. NO SILVERWARE WHICH WE ASKED FOR. CONDIMENTS EVERYWHERE. OUR RIBS AND BURGER WAS NOT WELL DONE. SO MUCH PINK ON THE INSIDE. FRIES WAS HARD. DR. PEPPER HAD NO ICE AND CUP OF ICE HAD 1/4 CUP OF ICE IN IT. MS. CARTER DID US WRONG AND SHE SHOULD NOT HAVE A JOB WORKING WITH CUSTOMER SERVICE.
