I ordered my furniture back in February. Pay $7300 cash for it. When I initially made the purchase, the gentleman told me that I would not be getting 4 of my kitchen table chairs until July, which I thought was. kind of a long time. So I wasn't going to be moving until March. We set up a delivery date for April the 14th. There was no communication between myself and the salesman. Or the store, so I took it upon myself that Friday to call. Which was the 11th of April. Then I was informed that part of my Sectional would not be in, so I called the store to try to figure out why there was going to be a delay, considering when I purchased it originally. The manager at the store was rude and unsympathetic. And/or unwilling to help me in any way. So, to make a long story short, when they finally got to my house without the piece of the sectional. The chairs that they brought with them were defective. All of the legs on the front right-hand side were at least one inch shorter than the rest. The manager at the store told me that she was gonna call me back after my delivery on Monday, and I have yet to hear from her. The day is Wednesday. It seems to me like after they get your money. They don't care anything else about you. Their customer service skills were horrible And on top of all of that, they're telling me my other piece of the sectional won't be here until May 4 of my chairs won't be here until June and the other 4 like I said, initially will be here in July. And then if. You want to return everything. They charge you a fee because of their mistakes which is 15% of whatever the purchase price was somebody please make this make sense. Update finally got the rest of my furniture needless to say, it took 5 months to get. Furniture, that was defective. We'll never be buying anything else from this store customer beware, you'll either have to wait 5 months for your merchandise or not. Get it and if you do, it's gonna be defective. 7 of the 8 chairs that I purchased the legs were defective on by the quarter inch shorter than the rest. And sadly, their customer service is horrible.

We had such a great experience at VFC! I had initially not planned to purchase anything that day. My husband and I were searching for a comfy, deep seated sectional. We were greeted immediately when we walked in by Mac and he pointed us in the right direction and let us know where the sectionals where and which ones were customizable and let us know he was available if we needed anything. The sales manager Brandon saw the twinkle in our eyes when we sat on their Malibu sectional and walked over to introduce himself and tell us about the special features of the couch. He explained the reasoning for different price points on each couch. He explained how and where they were made (which is locally in Cary, NC!). He was so educational and informative that it made us feel very confident in making a purchase there. Brandon and Mac were extremely accommodating! They showed us several different sectionals. They moved different ottomans and coffee tables around from all over the store to help us see the look and feel of the space paired with different pieces. They also laid out the fabric and even tucked it into the couch and poured water in the different fabric to demonstrate the stain resistance of each fabric. Brandon walked my husband and me all around the store to show us different options for coffee tables, sectionals, and chairs that fit our personal tastes that I described to him. He was very attentive and not pushy at all. He even explained the history behind some of the different styles we were considering. He was so passionate about furniture that it gave us a new appreciation for furniture! We were truly blown away by the level of customer service we received and walked out buying the the perfect sectional, coffee table, and end table for our family!

I would give zero stars if I could. We purchased a sectional from Value City Furniture in June, and by August, the problems had already started. The USB port in the arm chair stopped working, and the end chair of the sectional disconnected completely. It took two technicians over an hour to put it back together, and they admitted a part had to be ordered for the USB. That repair was never completed. To make matters worse, a second USB port has now failed on the same chair, which has disconnected again. When we filed warranty claims for these issues—as well as for color transfer, staining, and material breakdown—we were repeatedly denied with the excuse of “wear and tear,” even though we paid for the extended warranty that was supposed to cover these exact problems. Maria in the store did try to help us file another claim in January, but it was also declined. This furniture was marketed as leather, yet it is clearly not. The material is now shedding, the fabric underneath is exposed, and the two chairs that get daily use are a completely different, dirty-looking shade compared to the rest of the sectional. Please note: there are only two adults in this household—no children, no pets, and we take great care of our home. We spent thousands of dollars on what we thought was quality furniture with a reliable warranty, but what we received was poor craftsmanship, misleading materials, and a warranty that is essentially worthless. The furniture looks terrible less than a year after purchase, and we are left with no real support from Value City Furniture or their warranty company. This has been one of the most disappointing purchases we’ve ever made, and I would strongly caution anyone considering Value City Furniture to take their business elsewhere

I have just returned from your store after nearly 3 hours of wasted time and nothing but aggravation. I am in the market for a bedroom set, a new couch, a dining set and a mattress,.The salesman I had was fine. First on the list was a bedroom set. He showed me the products and eventually we found a 'Clearance Item'. It was a King size frame with a chest, 2 night tables and a mirror which I did not need. The listing price was for $850. After some discussion about what was included, he then proceeded to get the Manager and this is where the world fell apart. But let me rewind:

They had dropped the price from $850 to $700 because apparently I had to take the mirror - even though I didn't want it and the second night-table was not one of the items included in the price even though it was part of the set. The Manager tells me that I have to take the mirror because he can't sell it and the night-table stays which he figures he can sell. As if any of this should be my concern. I agree to take the mirror off of his hands (I told him it would just wind up gathering dust in a closet) but he has to include the second night-stand table, because it's part of the set. I needed that second table. So he offers to sell it to me for an additional $100.00 So the $700 deal that he offered is back up to $800.00. I tell him that I've been in sales for over 30 years and I would NEVER try and pull a stunt like this on a customer. In fact, if I did, I'd be fired. He then starts telling me about profit margins and the like - again as if this is my concern. All I want is the bed frame, the two night-tables and the chest for the $700 he and the other salesman agreed too, because I was willing to take an unwanted mirror. But he wouldn't budge on the other nightstand he said he could sell to someone else. So, he wants to stick me with something he can't move and keep what he can, making my set incomplete. Then he wants to charge $100 for daring to want the set. When the numbers were all added up, it came to $954 and change. I was so fed up that I said, let's call it $900 even and call it a day and I would take the order. The salesman (who disappeared through this whole discussion) reappears and then asked me for my phone number and when I asked "why?" he said something but coming up with the final numbers. I wasn't giving my number until I had the final number and I waited....and waited....and waited....for about 20 minutes for anyone to come back and talk to me. I started looking for the Manager. Eventually, I found him. He was talking to another Sales Representative who had nothing to do with my situation. I walked up right in their direction as they were in an aisle near the front of the store where it'd be impossible to miss me, didn't say a word, walked by them and then out the door. So at the end of this ridiculous experience, I walked out of there with nothing and actually hung out in the parking lot waiting for someone to come out to talk and change course. To at least try and save the deal. I wanted the set. No one ever came. I honestly couldn't believe it. And this was a Manager.

I have three rooms that need to be filled and they will be. But not at Value City. It was a wasted night, a brutal experience and on your end the loss of an eventual total of a few thousand dollars worth of business. So congratulations. For an individual night-table and $50.00, you lost three rooms...

Customer service here is unacceptable and I will never shop here again. I purchased my sons first new sofa from the store. We paid someone to come and pick it up my son was also with them they get to his apartment and the sofa is damaged not in one place several places. My son calls the store and they ask him to email the pictures and told him to bring the furniture back to the store. Now we had already paid someone to Deliver it to my sons apartment and since the furniture was damaged clearly not from it being delivered to my sons apartment. When you open the box it was damaged on several sides and also when you try to put it together it would not even fit into the holes they were supposed to be assembled to hold it together. My issue today is why should we pay for someone to re-deliver the furniture back to the store if we are going to purchase furniture from the store again and not get a refund. We went to the manager at the store and she refused to pick the furniture up with out charging us a delivery fee for the new furniture that we would or purchased and they could take the old furniture with them. What kind customer service is this when you leave money on the table missing a sale over a delivery fee. Not only did they miss a sale and sale us damage furniture they wanted to charge us for delivery. WOW I have bought several pieces from the store and I am so ashamed and embarrassed that I told my son to come and get furniture from this place. So not only did they lose a sale they lost a customer for $139 delivery charge and I was going to purchase new furniture never again Value City should be ashamed of themselves for not treating customers who received damaged furniture better. The manager would not waive the fee and did not care about they sold us damage goods. We were offered a refund when we return the furniture she also stated that they could of charged us a restocking fee so when we chose to have it picked up we waved our right for it to be picked up without being charged what a joke. Oh yea I have paid for the furniture and had to return damaged and transported Furniture dealing with this store. Like I said...

I discourage EVERYONE and ANYONE from shopping at this store. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Today I had the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Today, not only was I insulted by the store manager, Chris, but I received NO resolution to my problem. To the point that I had to contact corporate and STILL didn't get a resolution.

Last week, I purchased a dining room set. The salesman pressured the warranty on my family and I, but we turned it down. They then told us it would cost $130 to deliver. My family and I decided it would be cheaper to rent a van from U-Haul. The salesperson told us the base would come assembled, and all we would have to do is place the glass on top. It DID NOT come assembled. But, we let it go and and when we brought it home the table was IMPOSSIBLE to put together. My boyfriend, mother, father and neighbor attempted to put the table together, but it was hopeless.

Today, I called the store manager to ask if they could send someone to assemble the table because we just couldn't do it. Or see if there was possibly a way to return the table and maybe get a new one. He absolutely refused. He HONESTLY said "It's not MY problem." He said "What might be difficult for you is not difficult for other people, so pay the $130 and we will come do it for you." I have never been so disrespected by a store manager in my life. When I told him I didn't appreciate his tone he continued to talk over me, and when I told him "I'm sorry, but you're being extremely rude." He said "HOW AM I BEING RUDE?! TELL ME!".

Mine you I called in a very calm and collected way. I finally decided to get the corporate number and they attempted to help us, but apparently Chris the store manager refused to send someone out. I'm guessing this is a franchise, so that is why he got final say. Now we have to pay for ANOTHER U-Haul to return the table and all corporate was able to do was give us a $75 gift card.

I am DISGUSTED by this customer service. Go to iKea, go to Rooms-To-Go. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Unless you like to be spoken to like an animal. The cheap cost was not worth the disgusting way me and my family...
