Do not purchase geek squad protection with this store! I've been paying for this service for months. Then I had my first issue & needed help. I called the geek squad number & they said I had to take it to the store. I don't live near a store and the one in Chattanooga was the closest. I drive all the way there then the incompetent, childish workers said they couldn't help me. I asked for a supervisor or manager and once again they don't look at the phone or say anything other than, we're sorry we can't help you. I ask them what I'm paying for and they can't even tell me that. In retrosprect, I will say this, I will never get help from Geek Squad again. They won't help you over the phone or in store. The kids that work there are incompetent, they won't help or even explain why they can't help. It's unfair to the customer who pays for this service. Update: I called Geek Squad's customer service once more and asked for a refund since everyone I've called refuses to help me. Since I'm paying for nothing, I don't think its a hard thing to get a refund. No this is a whole other can of worms. Customer service said they don't do that and they said to call someone else. I called that person and they said we will replace your phone. By this time I have had Verizon fix my phone so its a moot point. Once again, I ask for a refund and they say, no we don't do that. Finally I got to the billing department and they only refund two months. It's better than nothing but this is duplicitous business practices...
Read moreI had an appointment scheduled at 1:40pm, and was instructed to arrive 10 minutes prior, and to not be late, or they would have to reschedule me. I arrived at 1:30pm, and there was no place to check in at. There was only a line to stand in, until you eventually reached the front, so you can check in. I reached the front of the line at 2:25pm. I seen at least 10 geek squad employees that seem to be having issues with their clients, and are having to get other staff for help. The system is very poor. They need a kiosk for appointment check in’s, to bypass anyone that doesn’t have an appointment. They also need the option of checking in with the app or online as well. This could speed up the process, and let ones who have an appointment get help before ones who don’t. It’s just common sense. Read moreTrash Service!! I brought my iPhone for a simple cracked screen repair at 10AM. Phone was completely functioning before I dropped it off. Get a call from Geek Squad at 430PM. Tech says we can’t get the screen off, also by us trying to do so the screen is now black and does not function at all. Not only did they waste my time, damage my phone worse, not show any empathy, or offer to replace or provide a loaner phone until Apple could repair it. Went to Simply Mac showed them the phone and they tell me the screen was definitely removed however something was damaged in the process. Geek squad has the worse customer service.
