Millies On Main — Local services in Chattanooga

Honestly, we had no clue what to expect when we randomly stopped by. We had been looking for a new sofa and could only find boring, cookie cutter junk, or stuff that was out of price range.

I kinda thought it was just furniture consignment store and expected to find a hodgepodge of ratty, outdated furniture.

I was wrong.

To be honest, we were disappointed. NOT in the selection, but after seeing the selection of unique, high end brand furniture, we were disappointed that it was more stuff we couldn’t afford.

I think the sweet gal behind the desk could see we were discouraged, so she quickly came up and showed us pricing on various pieces.

We were happily gobsmacked! We could actually swing it and get “real” furniture! We didn’t realize that this isn’t a “normal” consignment store-they sell new/barely used stuff from model homes and real estate staging!

I also learned that they offer staging services. We’re not selling our home, but asked if they could help me update my living room, making it brighter, less cluttered, updated, help me arrange the furniture, etc. They were more than happy to do this AND it’s extremely reasonable!

Camille stopped by my very cluttered, dusty house. We instantly hit it off and I didn’t feel “judged” over my ragtag junk and an explosion of dog toys and pee pads (in the midst of potty training).

She focused on the positives, and didn’t think we had awful taste (whimsical/eclectic). I was a little nervous thinking she’d tell us to look exactly like a model home with all neutrals and no personality. Nope! Not Camille! She was super excited!

She worked with our budget (I was scared she would find it laughably small), finding items from tons of different sources; vintage shops, even Marketplace!! She negotiated with sellers, arranged deliveries and everything! I didn’t have to worry about scammers or creepy people!

TL;DR: I highly recommend Millie’s on Main. Such a unique concept and one that I’m thrilled to have in...

We recently moved into a new house and my husband has been searching for a tastefully eclectic sofa for his office for months. He discovered Millie’s on Main this morning & we immediately found a lovely, elegant, “like new” CB2 sofa designed by Paul McCobb that was perfect. After months of online and in-person searching, Millie’s on Main has at least 3 sofas we would happily feature in our home.

Camille, the owner, is warm, charismatic, knowledgeable, and generally lovely, and helped transport this beautiful piece to our house tonight.

We have a lot of rearranging to do, but I wanted to add photos to the post to demonstrate that this green velvet sofa is anything but ordinary. We’ve already asked Camille to help us find a few other pieces. Chattanooga needs Camille’s talented eye and skill and aesthetic/intriguing/elegant curation of furniture.

If you're looking for a friendly shopping experience and high-quality, name-brand furniture at a fraction of the cost of new items, Millie's on Main is the place to go. It should be your first (and likely your only) stop! Even though the furniture is pre-owned, everything in the shop is in excellent condition.

She was incredibly kind and even shared some amazing interior design tips to help make my new apartment feel like home. As a young professional with no idea how to style my space, Camille set me on the right path.
