I have taken several classes at the Chattery over the years and love the spectrum of offerings. Since the instructors are often from the community and have a love of their craft/skill, they environment has always been positive. The caveat is that sometimes the instructor loves the subject, but is not skilled yet in instructing. What is always the case for me, is I get a taste of something I am interested in, and can move forward to learrn more or determine it is not for me. I appreciate that as a private company, they look for a diverse group of instructors and market themselves to all sorts of folks, making the classes not only interesting, but alway a refreshing way to meet and interact with people outside our normal sphere. Read moreJust attended a sound bath here. Loved the sound bath music and the therapist, Jennifer was great. I’ll definitely attend another one. Since it was my first time at the chattery I wasn’t sure what to expect. Here’s some tips that would make the sound bath more enjoyable: bring a blanket, it got a little chilly. Also, bring a mat. It didn’t specifically state to bring one and I wasn’t sure if they had them on hand -I think there was one. Bring two mats if you can. The floor is concrete and very uncomfortable with one mat. I did a cocktail and infusions class with my coworkers and we had an absolute blast with Kaleena (owner of the Bitter Bottle). She was so knowledgeable, answered all our questions, gave us background on everything, taught us some cool techniques, and made us some delicious drinks.
